"I think people should support rare disease foundations to prevent the torture a person with a rare disease endures. I think they should imagine themselves put into the shoes of a person with a rare disease. For example, imagine being a person with GM1. You would eventually lose your ability to walk, talk, speak, and barely be able to communicate basic needs with others." -GM1 Sibling curegm1.org/take-action #curegm1 #raredisease #helpneeded #charity #give #advocacy

It brings me great joy to launch our 'A Little Pitta Love' campaign in support of Coeliac Awareness Month. 💜 Sadly there are a lot of misconceptions still about coeliac disease, hence why Coeliac Awareness Month is hugely important for raising awareness and educating people that coeliac disease is a serious autoimmune condition and not an allergy. When someone with coeliac disease eats gluten, their body attacks its own tissues and causes gut damage. 1 in 100 people in the UK have coeliac disease, yet alarmingly only 36% of people have a medical diagnosis. Our campaign aims to raise awareness and support the work that Coeliac UK is doing to reach the estimated 500,000 people in the UK who might be living with debilitating symptoms and seeking answers. Our goal is to raise £26,000 for Coeliac UK by donating 20p from every limited edition purple pack of stone baked pittas sold across major UK retailers in the month of May. #spreadalittlepittalove #coeliacawarenessmonth
A Little Pitta Love 💜 Throughout the month of May, BFree is proudly supporting Coeliac UK by donating 20p per pack for every limited-edition purple pack of stone baked pitta sold. Coeliac disease affects 1 in 100 people, so it’s not rare, yet only 36% of people with the condition in the UK are medically diagnosed. It’s time for that to change! We want to help Coeliac UK raise awareness and get more people on the road to recovery – it all starts with a simple free online self-assessment. Click the link to find out more https://bit.ly/47PobqX This May, help us reach our goal of raising £26,000 for Coeliac UK - supporting those with coeliac disease, one pack at a time! 💜 #spreadalittlepittalove

What can I say that is not been said? Heads up! Ostrich heads out of the sand! The human race is in serious trouble as deadly bacteria have outsmarted antibiotics because they are clever and we are so eager for a quick fix that we have taken antibiotics that are meant to kill bacteria. Unfortunately, they do not work on viruses. As many of you know, I spent three years fighting and barely surviving a deadly bacterial infection called C. Difficile. We work together as a nonprofit organization lobbing our Congress people working towards trying to find and develop new targeted antibiotic drugs, and understand the microbiome, so that no others will end up dying as the result the lack of antibiotic protection for a serious infection. We need your help. We need donations in order to continue to do the work that we have done over the past 10 years it has been remarkable. It has led in no small part to some new biologic treatments and it has brought awareness to millions of people around the world who never even knew that an infection like CDF existed until someone they knew passed from it. Please, please, considering making a donation to a nonprofit organization, where you know the money is only going to serve the human population, and protect our future. Every bacterial infection is part of this crisis!
🌟 Join us in making a difference! 🌟 At Peggy Lillis Foundation, every donation, no matter the size, fuels our mission to fight against C. diff infections and promote antibiotic stewardship. 💙 Your support means more resources for education, advocacy, and support for patients and families affected by this devastating infection. Individual donations are the lifeblood of our organization, enabling us to reach more people, advocate for better healthcare practices, and ultimately save lives. Together, we can make a real impact and bring hope to those facing the challenges of C. diff. Join our cause today by contributing whatever you can. Every dollar counts! Enhancing employee engagement and reducing turnover through leadership development programs. Focusing on boosting employee motivation and satisfaction, Catalyst programs play a pivotal role in driving success.
With only 10 days left of the Woman of Impact campaign, I am reminded of the importance of the work we are doing. Today, my daughter's experience with POTs disease put it all into perspective. Living with this condition means constantly monitoring heart rate, like when she felt tightness and a faster rate during her morning game. Fortunately, she knows how to control it, but it doesn't make it any less challenging. Join the fight against heart disease and support the cause by donating here: https://lnkd.in/gvJ-2Xj3. Every little bit helps make a difference.

Today is Global MND Awareness Day, a day where we acknowledge the impact Motor Neurone Disease has had on people around the world, raise awareness and remember those who have died of the disease. What is MND? "With MND, messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste, which can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. Some people also get changes to their thinking and behaviour, but the disease affects everyone differently. Not all symptoms will affect everyone, or in the same order. Symptoms also progress at varying speeds, which makes the course of the disease difficult to predict. MND is life-shortening and there is no cure. Although the disease will progress, symptoms can be managed to help achieve the best possible quality of life." (Source: https://lnkd.in/e88z8MuZ) Our charity partner, Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Bestway Healthcare has engaged in a number of fundraising activities to generate charitable donations to the MND Association, and we also use Pennies to enable customers to make microdonations at our tills. Currently, katie jacob (Chief Financial Officer) is training for her epic Outer Hebrides challenge. Let’s get behind Katie as she puts herself through the paces to raise as much money as possible for this invaluable cause. Donate to Katie's fundraising page here: https://lnkd.in/eXqNhR7w #Motorneuronedisease #motorneurone #charity #fundraising #pharmacy #healthcare #charitypartner #globalmndawarenessday

We’re 9 years old! 😁🎉 It’s been nine years since Barry Knowles and Jo Morris, our Founders, started the not-for-profit you see today. We have evolved a lot over the years…do you know our story? Reflections was originally started as a support group over coffee and cake as there was nothing else available for those affected by mesothelioma. We are immensely honoured to have supported and comforted hundreds of people affected by asbestos-related diseases, especially mesothelioma, during this time. Our team has lived experience, so we know the profound impact of having someone there who truly ‘gets’ what a mesothelioma diagnosis means. With 4000 people dying each year from asbestos-related diseases, we want to reach as many people as we can, but we are limited by what we can do as we receive no government funding. If you would like to help support people and families affected by this devastating disease, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. 💙 Sponsor a Hope Companion, our new support resource, for someone in a rural or regional area: $250. 💙 Sponsor a Support call: $50. 👉https://lnkd.in/es5n_9QG Raising asbestos awareness, supporting those affected, and reducing the ongoing impact of asbestos on the community is what drives us each and every day. We look forward to a day when asbestos is just a memory, and we are incredibly grateful to have you all along for the ride with us. 💙 #asbestos #charity #notforprofit #mesothelioma
