Are you a girl and do hearing about AI or any new tech term intimidates you? Then this one is exclusively for you. Apart from all the data which has been evidently showing the low graph of women participating in tech as compared to that of men, even in my experience whenever I ask a girl about programming, AI or any such computerized term their reaction is like it's something as hell of a difficult concept that can never be a cup of their tea. On the contrary boys even if not that familiar with the concept will try to react in a more confident way and try to understand and take interest in it. But the irony lies in the fact that the boolean number system which is the crucks of the programming language and the only language that computers do actually understand was discovered by a women herself Lady Augusta Ada Lovelace. In the present century being equipped with tech and AI is as important as financial independence if not more. We all know, Financial independence is the catalyst to women empowerment as somehow our society is structured in a way that when you have financial independence you have a say at the table and your words are counted. But to thrive in 21st century we need to get our tech skills on point too. The journey toward gender equality requires dismantling barriers and fostering environments where women can flourish. This International Women's Day, 2k24 @Curioverse has taken a small initiative to address this concern by introducing a program for young women. We will be conducting an online workshop for school and college girl students - Introduction to AI. It will be designed for beginners so if you are someone who has no idea and the concept of all these new tech booms intimidate you then it will be just the right match for you. And if you are curious to learn about the new AI tools, Generative AI and want to know how can they be of help to your mondain tasks- You are Welcome this is your sign to Get Started. Cheers to breaking barriers, amplifying voices, and paving the way for a future where every woman's dream can blossom! 🎉💖 #InternationalWomensDay #BreakTheSilence #EmpowerHer

On this #InternationalWomensDay, I’m also proud to share this insightful piece from one of our very own leaders, Carla Ramchand. In addition to highlighting the issues we are all working to solve, Carla suggests some ways we can help foster a more inclusive and equitable AI future for all of us. IWD 2024: Investing in women to create a responsible AI future (itbrief.asia)
As AI continues to present us with new ways to advance society, it has the potential to be a powerful tool to help close the gender gap, improve accessibility, and enable inclusivity for all. AI could also pose serious dangers if not used and developed responsibly, and if we do not proactively address the issues of bias and lack of diversity in the technology sector. This year, on International Women’s Day, I’m pleased to share my thoughts on the critical actions we need to take now to ensure we are creating an equitable and inclusive AI future for all: https://lnkd.in/gG_52Rax #AvanadeDoWhatMatters #CreateYourFuture #IWD2024 #InvestInWomen #AccelerateProgress #AI #STEM #WomenInTech #Diversity #Inclusion

As AI's influence expands, it's crucial to address the underrepresentation of women in tech, particularly in AI development. Without diverse perspectives, AI systems may perpetuate gender biases, exacerbating financial challenges for women. Education and training are key to mitigating this impact, empowering women to pursue tech careers. Promoting STEM education for girls, supporting reskilling programs, and fostering inclusive workplaces are also important steps toward gender equality in tech. AI is coming, whether we like it or not. By embracing diversity in AI development, we can create a more inclusive and equitable future for all. #AI #WomenInTech #Education #STEM

Despite GenAI, software developer jobs are projected to grow much faster than other occupations, with ~154,000 jobs opening each year - just in the US. But the number of CS undergraduates entering the workforce each year is only ~88,000. One way to fill this gap is by reaching a huge group that is currently underrepresented - women. Join us for an event at the UN General Assembly on Sep 19th, where we will be releasing a report on the status of Women in AI - across 85 countries, and sharing research-based strategies on how to double this number in each country, including the US. Doubling the number of women in AI could add $61 billion to the global economy, with a return on investment that would be 200 times the cost of training.
