Citadel’s Miami HQ building renders revealed by Foster+Partners
Ken Griffin’s ambitious vision for Miami’s Brickell neighborhood is shaping up to be a transformative development, set to redefine the city’s skyline. After assembling 4.2 acres of prime land at a cost of $670 million, the project will launch with the construction of a supertall tower, marking the beginning of a multi-phase architectural masterpiece.
Phase 1:
The centerpiece will be a supertall tower, standing between 300 meters (984 feet) and 600 meters (1,968 feet). This phase will feature 1.3 million square feet of premium office space, a luxurious 212-key hotel, fine dining restaurants with a 915-seat capacity, a 5,239-square-foot health and spa center, and expansive open spaces. Amenities are designed to elevate both the work and leisure experience, offering an integrated urban ecosystem.
Phase 2:
The second phase includes a 54-story, 408,423-square-foot office tower at 1221 Brickell Avenue, further solidifying the area as a business hub of global significance.
Phase 3:
The final phase will introduce a 100-unit residential tower, though it remains to be seen whether the units will be condos or rentals. This residential addition will bring a balanced mix of living, working, and leisure spaces to the development.
With an estimated total cost exceeding $1 billion, Gattuso Development Partners of Philadelphia will co-develop this visionary project. The site also benefits from being part of Miami-Dade County’s Rapid Transit Zoning (RTZ) area, encouraging higher-density, transit-oriented development—a vital factor in Miami’s future urban growth.
