IceCure Medical is honored to share a moving message we received from Jim Smith, the son of #breastcancersurvivor and #ICE3 trial participant, Muriel Smith.
After reading our blog post on the ICE3 trial on #cryoablation of small, low-risk #breastcancer, Jim was thrilled to learn about the Scientific Impact Award received by ICE3 investigator, Dr. Richard Fine, at The American Society of Breast Surgeons conference for his poster on the promising 5-year results of the ICE3 study. Muriel’s son sent us this message, that reinforces our commitment to providing patients the choice of a minimally invasive treatment option with #ProSense:
“I don't have any awards to give. What I do have to give is my unabashed respect, love, and admiration for everyone at IceCure and Dr. Kenneth Tomkovich MD here in the States that suggested this wonderful treatment for my mother. If it were not for you guys ... I wouldn't be speaking to her 4 or 5 times a day.
That is a gift that I cannot possibly repay. Please know that it is a gift that I do not take for granted.
My Mother's trial has been officially over for about three years now, and at 87 years old, there is no sign of her slowing down!
