#Juneteenth update. Senate Bill 1020 passed the Assembly Public Safety Hearing, but was referred to Appropriations review. In Appropriations supply chain, and financial concerns are discussed in depth. This is important because the only formal opposition has raised 2 supply chain concerns. They are as follows.
1. What happens to the inventory law enforcement agencies have of targets that depict specific ethnic groups, such as Black men. I have offered to arrange a purchase of those targets because I would like them removed from the market and destroyed. *I MAY NEED TO FUND RAISE FOR THIS*
2. Will there be enough inventory of the race neutral shooting targets to support the change? I've tried HARD to get the government contract agencies such as GSA to communicate to their suppliers of targets to be aware that sales will increase but the agencies refused. The majority of the targets are basically a large poster. I believe the supply chain will adjust quickly to the change. Existing dies can be pulled, features obscured, and run in colors that humans don't come in like green, and blue.
I'll keep everyone posted on progress.

💪 YES WE CAN...change the world! Don't think so? Watch me!
A couple of years ago I set out to uproot a piece of deadly systemic racism contained within United States systems, and today it's a Bill, and it's well on the way to becoming California law. California Senate Bill 1020 requires that law enforcement train only with race neutral shooting targets, on, and off duty.
The next big step is the California State Assembly Public Safety Hearing, scheduled for June 18th. Ironically, the day before Juneteenth.
Look...here's the thing, shooting training, like sports, music, and dance trains reflexes/motor skills to act without thought. If we change the training, we change the future.
I personally know of a law enforcement officer (LAPD), and an Army veteran involved in wrongful deaths of people from specific ethnic groups, and they each said that the targets they trained on contributed to their reflex response. This change protects EVERYONE, and has the potential to restore much needed integrity.
The next step is Federal, and I'll need all the help I can get! Please reshare this post, and talk, talk, talk about this important change.
Look for the next update on Freedom Day!

Lesson of the year so far, always invest in your future through consumer education. Not gonna lie, we made gutter guards cool in Sacramento. What started as a “Have you seen this before?” became “Do you have it yet?”
All fun and games until the competition finds out. Now, I see a new gutter company almost EVERY week!
Now it’s “Which kind do you have” and “Ouch, let me show you what’s wrong with that one.” Luckily #LeafFilter has an industry leading patent so it’s an easy conversation to have. However, the hard part is convincing yourself that this educational conversation (non-qualified lead can’t write it up) is worth your time despite that person not being quote-ready for another 6 months. I end those conversations with a friendly, but stern “Remember who told you about that”. With our current momentum I can’t help but feel this approach paying off.
March was HARD but we made it! First quarter down!

This could be a gamechanger for electric vehicles. My takeaway is that Influit Energy has developed a rechargeable electrolyte (or "electric gas") such that you drive your EV into an "electric gas" station, empty your used electrolyte, refill with new electrolyte, and then drive off in roughly the same amount of time that it takes for a conventional fill-up.

I'm delighted that, as part of homecoming celebrations on September 21, Illinois Tech is screening the first episode of a new Documentary series by Baram Entertainment and Illinois Tech Alumnus Rick Carlson called Harwired. The episode is about Influit Energy, the startup founded by John Katsoudas (B.S. & M.S. Physics), Elena Timofeeva and myself. See the trailer here:
