First time posting on LinkedIn. Looking to post updates on my master's project, which is largely concerned with upconversion. It has been mostly trial and error so far, and the focus has shifted from triplet-triplet annihilation to the singlet-based cooperative energy pooling, Praying for a successful project and interesting results. Ocean Sonics Ltd. has an interesting beginning. In 2005, Mark S Wood and Desirée Stockermans were sitting at his kitchen table overlooking the picturesque shores of the Bay of Fundy, N.B. and faced with a challenge: creating a hydrophone that could process vast amounts of real-time data at the source. They embraced the challenge, envisioning a smart digital hydrophone, and created their first prototype called "Big Ears." Seven years later, the duo founded Ocean Sonics and started commercializing their smart digital hydrophone, the icListen.
