Autonomous driving is the future of the automotive industry, but it will take some time to get there. High-end vehicles are being equipped with more autonomous features, but to achieve full autonomy, new technologies and infrastructure are needed. This will take years of effort and sufficient volume to bring down the cost. In the meantime, Level 3 autonomous driving is already being introduced, with Level 4 features offering even more benefits. Mercedes-Benz has already introduced Level 3 autonomous driving, and other car manufacturers are expected to follow. The road to full autonomy may be long, but the journey is worth it.
