So pleased to see this, fantastic! Can I offer to help coordinate an event, on whatever scale works, in North Devon? We are often overlooked (unintentionally) in relation to the wider Devon area, as we don’t have large urban centres here, but we have some great schools and talented young people, who would benefit hugely from understanding the opportunities that exist in Cyber. I have started the conversation with my children’s school in Braunton, but it would be great to benefit the wider area. We don’t have a university or large business presence here so getting young people exposed to potential pathways is really important. Happy to help if there is an opportunity to host here at some point.

Great event and post Charlotte Smith. You are welcome anytime South Devon College and University Centre South Devon. We fully support this initiative and recognise that teaching #cybersecurity to the younger generation is greatly enhanced by active employer involvement. It bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Employers can provide valuable insights into industry-specific threats and the #skills needed to counter them. By partnering with schools and communities, employers contribute to creating a tech-savvy workforce that understands the importance of safeguarding #digital assets. This collaborative activity not only equips young individuals with critical skills but also ensures businesses benefit from a pipeline of cybersecurity-aware talent, reinforcing collective efforts to combat cyber threats.
