Companies are learning more areas of cyberspace prevention. Just like in the old cowboy movies the bad guy wears the black hat, and the good guy wears the white hat. There are 6 different color hats in cybersecurity but you can not see them on the WWW. Companies need to have technical employees with certifications in forensics or the company will need to completely outsource to contract companies to protect them, like #GlobalNetworksInc. that can manage IT Services & Consulting. #professor Types Of Hackers White Hat is Ethical Hackers Black Hat is Malicious Hackers Green Hat is new to Hacking Blue Hat is Vengeful Hacker Grey Hat is Not Malicious or Ethical (mix of both) Red Hat is Vigilante Hacker
📣Calling all Hackers! Applied Technology Academy will be teaching Authorized OffSec classes at #BlackHat2024 in Las Vegas in August! Are you ready to master your skills in PEN-200, SOC-200, or EXP-401 come join us in Las Vegas! https://lnkd.in/efx6C384 OffSec #hacker BlackHat #JoinUs #BigNews

Over the last few weeks, I have been posting my credentials for the Ohio Cyber Persistent Improvement Program (O-PCI) Gateway One. This is Ohio’s new cybersecurity training and mentoring program for local governmental entities, which includes counties, cities, townships, villages, and school districts, as well as other local taxpayer financed entities like libraries etc. The modules available so far are: Cyber Mindfulness, Cybersecurity 101, Cybersecurity Frameworks, Risk Management, Network Control Systems, Vulnerability Management, and Organization and Third-Party Security. I took these as a reviewer, so I did them all. Most folks will just do some of these, based on their role at their LGE. The four roles in the program are: Network user, IT/Cyber Professional, Manager, and Executive/Elected Official. This training is FREE to Ohio’s local governments. To learn more, or to sign up for the O-PCI go to https://lnkd.in/e7t6g7aM Please like and/or share to help spread the word on this great free program for local Ohio governments.
