Progressing Cavity Pump (PCP) is a type of positive displacement pump used in various industries, including oil and gas,. It is particularly well-suited for handling viscous fluids, slurries, and abrasive materials. 2. Operation: As the rotor rotates within the stator, it creates a series of cavities that progressively increase in size. Fluid is drawn into the pump through the inlet and fills these cavities. As the cavities continue to increase in size, the fluid is pushed forward and discharged through the outlet. 3. components subsurface components 1.Rotor: A helical steel shaft that rotates within the stator. 2.Stator: A rubber or elastomeric sleeve with a matching helical shape, surrounding the rotor. The interaction between the rotor and stator creates a progressive cavity that moves fluid upwards. 3.Pump Body: A steel housing that encloses the rotor and stator. 4.Suction Rod: A steel rod that connects the surface drive system to the rotor, transmitting rotational motion. 5.Production Tubing: A steel pipe that surrounds the suction rod and carries the produced fluid to the surface. Surface Drive System: 1.Wellhead Drive Unit: A mechanical or electrical device that provides power to the suction rod. 2.Power Transmission Equipment: Gears, belts, or chains that transmit power from the drive unit to the suction rod. 3.Prime Mover: The source of power for the drive unit, such as an electric motor or diesel engine. 4.Safety Shutdown Devices: Emergency stop mechanisms to prevent accidents. #PCP #artificial #lift #production #slb #job #scimitar #mechanical #engineer #pump #petroleum #industry #oilandgas #masr #egypt #jobinegypt #

Our next subject is subsea gauges They can come in two different types… 🌊 One type is to measure the pressure of the process, independent of depth. This type has a solid drilled case built to withstand external pressures surrounding the case, without effecting the actual process pressure. 🌊 The other type is not independent of depth, so the external pressure surrounding the case is also taken into account. For example, if the gauge were 10 metres deep and the process was reading 1 bar, the gauge would be reading zero. Are you in need of a subsea gauge? Solving Problems "One-to-One" - Product Development - Specialized Testing - Machine Design - Bolted Joints
I recently came across this picture of my younger-self in 2009 when I was helping design a Leak Detector for an offshore oil hose. It was a fantastic introduction to product development, as I was able to learn from Don Johnson how to: analyze parts for unusual forces, create my first machine drawings, conduct my first finite element analysis, and obtain quotes for a manufacturing run of parts. 800 Leak Detectors were ultimately manufactured for the client. Since that project, I have been fortunate to work on developing Breaching Training Doors (BTI), Hog Prevention Structures (NRI), Structural Lifting Docks (EMPI), Precision Rifle Triggers (SSS), Rifle Cant Indicators (SSS/Vortex), Downhole Tools (EOG), Wire-line Tool Catchers (AIMS), Large Bore/15 KSI Frac Equipment (AIMS), Fracture Flow Simulation Equipment, Oilfield Pressure Relief Valves, and Pressure Vessels. Over the years I have discovered that even though every product is unique, the product development stages are very similar. This understanding has helped ETA develop steps to create accurate Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimates that show the client the possible paths to success and ball-park costs. During this time, ETA has also developed in-house tools for closely monitoring the product development costs to mitigate cost overruns and allow clients to make course corrections as the project progresses. If you are looking for a mechanical engineering firm to help with your next difficult mechanical product development project, consider ETA, where we enjoy solving problems with you one-to-one. Just completed the "Pressure Relief Valves" course to enhance my knowledge and differentiate between pressure relief and safety valves. The course not only taught me about valve safety but also provided crucial information on noise level calculation, sizing for liquids, capacity conversion, and more. As someone who works in the field, this knowledge is essential to ensuring the correct positioning of valves. I'm excited to have gained practical and theoretical knowledge that I didn't get in my formal studies. #lifelonglearning #engineering #pressurevalves #safetyvalves

"Expert Pharma Engineering Consultant | Specializing in Oral Solid Dosages, Injectables & Oncology Facilities
"How is the explosion disc tested in a fluid bed dryer/processor?" Here's a general outline of the process: 1. Visual Inspection: Check for Damage: Inspect the explosion disc for any visible signs of damage, such as dents, cracks, or corrosion. Verify Installation: Ensure the explosion disc is properly installed and correctly oriented according to the manufacturer's specifications. 2. Documentation Review: Manufacturer's Guidelines: Review the manufacturer’s guidelines and documentation for specific testing procedures and intervals. Compliance: Ensure the explosion disc meets all relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, NFPA). 3. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Ultrasonic Testing: Use ultrasonic testing to detect internal flaws or material degradation without damaging the disc. Radiographic Testing: X-ray or other radiographic methods can also be used to inspect the integrity of the explosion disc. 5. Leak Testing: Seal Integrity: Perform a leak test to ensure the explosion disc and its mounting do not have any leaks that could compromise its effectiveness. Gas or Air Pressure: Apply a specific gas or air pressure to test for leaks. The pressure should be below the burst rating to avoid accidental triggering. Always follow the specific procedures and safety guidelines provided by the explosion disc manufacturer, and consult with a qualified engineer or safety specialist if needed.
