🎉✨ As we approach this special time of year, many of us will gather with loved ones and create cherished memories. However, it’s important to remember that the holiday season can be challenging for some. For many, this time may bring feelings of loss, loneliness, or hardship. Some may be grieving the absence of a loved one, while others may not have family nearby to celebrate with. The spectrum of emotions during this season is vast, and we must approach it with compassion and understanding. As leaders, we hold a unique position in our workplace communities. For some, we embody what family looks like at work. Let’s take the time to check in, offer support, and show appreciation for our team members who may be struggling. A simple gesture, a kind word, or even just being present can make a meaningful difference. Let’s embrace the spirit of the season by being there for one another. Together, we can create an environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Wishing everyone a holiday season filled with warmth, kindness, and connection. ❤️🎄 #Leadership #Compassion #HolidaySeason #MentalHealthMatters

To be good and do good is the whole duty of mankind. As the holiday season approaches, this timeless principle feels even more important. The spirit of this season reminds us to look inward with kindness and outward with generosity. Being good is about showing compassion and grace to ourselves and others, while doing good is about taking thoughtful actions that bring joy, comfort, and positivity to those around us. In leadership and in life, this season is a chance to reflect: Are we creating spaces where kindness thrives? Are we making choices that uplift others, both professionally and personally? Imagine the impact we could have if every holiday tradition, every work decision, and every interaction carried the essence of being good and doing good. From lending a helping hand to a colleague to supporting a cause close to your heart, there are so many opportunities to embrace this duty—and spread the holiday magic in the process. #ProverbialPathways #ThoughtOfTheWeek #HolidaySpirit #Leadership #Kindness #MakingADifference

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 “𝗗𝗼 𝗜𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝗹” Yesterday, I shared how the holiday season can leave leaders and business owners feeling stretched thin. Let’s talk about why this happens. Because somewhere along the line, we bought into a lie: 👉 If you’re not doing everything, you’re not doing enough. It’s the belief that you can’t let anything slip—not the year-end business goals, not the holiday events, not the picture-perfect moments with family. So, you push harder. You say “yes” to everything. And suddenly, you’re exhausted, unfocused, and showing up halfheartedly everywhere. I’ve been there. Here’s what I’ve found: 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 “𝘆𝗲𝘀” 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. When you say “yes” to another commitment, you might be saying “no” to focus, peace, and meaningful connection. Instead of doing everything, what if you chose to do a few things really well? ✅ Double down on your biggest business priority. ✅ Commit to being fully present with loved ones. ✅ Say “no” to distractions that don’t serve either. You can’t be everywhere. You don’t need to be. We’ve created The Ultimate Holiday Survival Guide to help you finish the year strong without burning out. Drop “𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹” in the comments, and I’ll send it your way! 👇 #Leadership #Focus #HolidaySeason #WorkLifeBalance #Priorities #Meant4More

The Christmas season is a time of reflection, gratitude, and connection. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, focusing on the gifts and decorations. But the true power of this season isn’t found under the Christmas tree ... it’s found in the people around it. The joy, the laughter, the shared memories. Yes that’s what stays with us long after the holidays are over. The relationships we nurture and the moments we create with those we love are the real gifts of the season. Is this fall the fastest-moving season in recent memory, or is it just me and everyone I know? September and October are gone, gone, y'all, and you know what's next ... end of year holiday hustle. With this pace and urgency in mind, I invite you to take a deep breath or three, and consider using these two questions with your team members, to help everyone find as much ease and flow as possible: “When do you want focus time, during the day and during the week?” Talk about how different people may need more or less solo focus time, based on their role. “When do we want to be available to each other, for impromptu live discussions or getting to intra-team emails and chat threads?” I work with a physician who is known for being available between 11:30 and noon every day of the week. “We get so much done from these drop-in chats,” she tells me. Find more ideas for ease and flow (the mantra words of my friend Sandy Joy Weston M.Ed. in two blogs on this topic, "Finding Flow" parts one and two, at Articles section of the huntergatewood (dot) com website. #leadership #teamleadership #leadershipcoaching

As the pace of the season picks up, I’ve been thinking about a meeting-free day I had recently—a rare chance to pause and reconnect with myself. Looking back I’m reminded of how small, intentional acts can nourish us in ways that busyness and productivity often can’t. This isn’t just something I’ve experienced personally; it’s something I hear from my clients again and again. As a coach, I see how easy it is for leaders and entrepreneurs—driven by ambition and responsibility—to push through their days without taking time to replenish. That day, nourishment looked like: • A midday walk under the crisp sunlight. • Rearranging my space to feel more welcoming. • Dancing to music that made me feel alive. • Inviting a friend over for a simple, unhurried dinner. These acts may seem small, but they make a big difference. They remind us that leadership starts with presence—and presence requires care, for both ourselves and those we lead. As we approach the busyness of the season, I’m reminding my clients (and myself) that prioritizing what sustains us isn’t indulgent—it’s essential. How are you making space for nourishment? What small, intentional acts could help you recharge and lead with clarity this week? Let’s inspire one another to approach this season with intention and care.

After a long weekend of family, food, and maybe one too many leftovers, I’m powering through this post-Thanksgiving Monday (yawns included). This was our last Thanksgiving as a family of four before baby brother joins us in February, and it was so special to unplug, be present, and soak it all in. But as much as I loved the downtime, I’m even more thankful to return to work that makes Mondays like this sweeter than any Thanksgiving pie. This week is all about momentum: a calendar full of meetings with incredible established clients, exciting conversations with potential clients, and even a few calls from people in the field seeking feedback and advice. These moments remind me how much I enjoy being part of a profession where relationships and solutions drive everything I do. Starting the week with gratitude, caffeine, and the motivation to finish 2024 on a high note. Cheers to embracing the chaos, finding purpose in the hustle, and keeping the connections strong! ☕ #MondayMotivation #Leadership #ProfessionalGrowth #NetworkingMatters #ClientRelationships #ThankfulAndFocused #BusinessGoals #FinishStrong #SalesLife #RecruitmentSolutions #ConsultingLife #EndOfYearPush

The holidays are a time to celebrate and connect, but not everyone feels the warmth of the season. For some, it’s a reminder of loneliness and being unseen. This year, instead of focusing solely on gifts, let’s focus on something more powerful—making people feel valued. A moment of genuine eye contact, a word of encouragement, or a simple acknowledgment can brighten someone’s day more than you realize. As leaders, colleagues, and friends, we have the power to create moments of belonging. It doesn’t take much, but it means everything. How can you show someone they matter today? #LeadershipInAction #HolidayKindness #MakeADifference #EmpathyAndConnection
