Nowadays, I'm receiving new calls from new opportunities, Calls on first step has been conduted by a hiring manager, they mention that they shall email but after tha at a time of scheduled time of interview next day no emails being received by a new candidate who has scheduled for an interview, then what, a candidate has to re inform an interviewer or manager about email not being received, then they mention that they're having issues from their side why emails not being sent properly. Certain companies have 2 or more than 2 offices located city wide so a candidate has to confirm where to go even email mention the exact location where a candidate has to give an interview. Another reason why I believe that people complain that there are no proper job opportunities are available. From Karachi.

It's frustrating why some headhunters, HR specialists, and talent acquisition professionals need to provide comprehensive job information, including salary, job timings, benefits, office culture, and growth opportunities. Why hide these essential details from candidates? When crafting extensive job descriptions, it's crucial to give a complete picture of what applicants can expect from the role and the organization. Considering Karachi's current challenges, conducting interviews online seems practical in today's digital age. Even if in-person interviews are necessary, candidates deserve upfront information without ambiguity. Transparency is not just a buzzword. It's a powerful tool, especially now with Karachi facing extreme heatwaves and escalating living costs. Clear information is not just about honesty; it's about empowering candidates to take charge of their careers and make informed decisions. Being straightforward is not just a matter of principle. It's a time-saver for everyone involved—ensuring that only genuinely interested candidates pursue the opportunity. It's about respecting everyone's time and effort in the hiring process. 👉 Only in Pakistan... 👉 Most HR Reps in different companies of Karachi... They think that they own the company instead of maintaining the decorum and hiring process. 1- After receiving and calling candidate for interview, why you ask Tell me something about yourself? What the f******** 😡 2- If you don't want to select any candidate from a list. Kindly make sure whom you are calling to and how much talented they are? 3- Instead of wasting time in Initial Interview, Final Interview and Panel Interview. Kindly after very first interview tell clearly to candidate YES / NO... 👉 Respect candidates, Help them to get the better opportunity and also advice them for any mistakes they have done in CV/Resume. Even also refer them some other companies to apply. 👉 In bad times people show mankind to each other and help them to be at the better place instead of doing such things that DEMOTIVATE. 💼 The Right to Ask Questions During Job Interviews During job interviews, HR often asks candidates to provide: 3 months of salary slips Bank statements This is considered a standard part of the hiring process. But have you ever wondered, why don’t candidates have the right to ask for similar proof of the company’s financial credibility? For instance: Why can’t we request the company’s last 3 months of salary dispatch records? Why not verify that salaries are paid on time? While not all software houses in Karachi delay salaries, the unfortunate reality is that nearly 80% of them face issues, with payments being delayed by up to 2 months or more. A recent incident on Shahrah-e-Faisal brought this issue into the spotlight. If candidates are expected to be transparent and provide proof of their stability, shouldn’t companies also reciprocate by demonstrating their commitment to timely payments? 📝 Isn’t this a matter of fairness and transparency in the hiring process? This post is a call to action for professionals to share their thoughts and experiences. Should we, as candidates, start asking these questions during interviews? Let’s open up this conversation! #WorkplaceTransparency #HRPractices #JobInterviews #FairnessInHiring #EmployeeRights #ProfessionalEthics #SalaryOnTime #WorkplaceCulture #JobSearchTips #CareerDevelopment #TransparencyMatters

Dear HR, Over the past few weeks, I've been deeply concerned about individuals applying for jobs and not receiving responses from HR. It's disheartening to see that some positions are filled through references, leaving candidates who invest time and resources into onsite interviews feeling disregarded. Imagine traveling from Lahore to Karachi for an interview, only to have it last 10 minutes and then see the position filled through a reference. This practice needs to cease. I urge all HR personnel to reconsider such actions. When candidates attend interviews, they do so with hopes of supporting their families, unaware that the position might already be earmarked for someone else. Please, I implore you, if positions are predominantly filled through references, inform candidates in advance so they don't incur unnecessary expenses and emotional strain. Let's not shatter their hopes and dreams. I can't emphasize this enough. Please, let's put a stop to this. #hr #linkedin #alert #news #hiring #culture

Previously, I get the opportunity to interview with a well-known company in Lahore. HR did reach out to me initially via LinkedIn and contacted me daily to schedule the interview. after interview I felt confident about my performance, rating myself an 8/10. I deducted 2 points because there were some aspects of the role I hadn't worked on before, but I explained that I could easily manage. However, after following up, the HR representative stopped responding to my calls, messages, and emails. A week later, I received an auto-generated email stating my profile wasn’t selected, which took me by surprise. I reached out to the HR to ask where I might have fallen short whether it was my salary expectations or any other reason so I could improve myself, but there has been complete silence. My request to all HR professionals is please reply candidates with where they need to improve, as feedback is crucial for growth, and responses after interviews should be just as prompt as the initial screening calls. #HR #InterviewExperience #CareerGrowth #FeedbackMatters #HiringProcess #CareerDevelopment #HRProfessionals #CandidateExperience #Recruitment #EmployeeExperience

Attention Candidates: Important Tips for Applying (Specifically for Posts Shared on My Wall) As a recruiter, I have observed several key points over the past months that can help improve your application process. While not every recruiter may agree, these insights are based on my experience with the posts I share. Please keep these points in mind when applying: 1: Relevance is Key: If the subject line does not reflect a relevant resume, it creates a negative impression of the candidate. Submitting unrelated applications can suggest a lack of attention to detail and understanding of the role. For example, I often see finance or engineering professionals applying for planning positions. If a job post specifies that it’s for a planning role, please refrain from submitting irrelevant applications. This not only helps streamline the hiring process but also ensures that your application is taken seriously. 2: Evaluate Yourself: Before applying, specifically evaluate the job descriptions and qualifications I have mentioned. If you meet at least 70-80% of the criteria, then apply. For instance, if I only mention a need for costing and budgeting profiles, avoid sending other finance domain profiles. 3: Industry Specificity: If I state that experience in the textile industry is mandatory, it means that’s a requirement for the position. Please do not apply if you’re from another sector. 4: Understanding Job Descriptions: Each job description has a unique pattern, and the points listed are carefully considered. Please read them thoroughly before applying, as they are not generic. 5: Patience with Responses: A delayed response doesn’t mean your CV was not reviewed. Due to the high volume of applications, it's often not possible to reply to each one individually, but I do my best to respond. Rest assured, your CV is saved and considered for future opportunities. 6: Location Matters: Most of my postings are for Karachi, and the location is clearly mentioned. Review this before applying, especially if you're from another city. 7: Distance Considerations: If the job location is far from your home, think carefully before applying. 8: Professional Communication: Avoid starting messages with "Hi" or "Hello." Simply mention the position and attach your resume. No lengthy stories, especially when applying on LinkedIn. 9: Resume Submission on LinkedIn: Avoid sending your resume via LinkedIn messages. If an email is provided in a post, please use that for submission. Thank you for your understanding, and best of luck with your applications! #JobSearch #CareerAdvice #RecruitmentTips #JobApplications #ProfessionalDevelopment #LinkedInTips #ResumeTips #Hiring #CareerOpportunities

My Very First Time Job Interview: A Comedy of Errors ** 101 INTERVIEW** *HR*: Assalam-o-Alaikum. *ME*: Wa-Alaikum-Salam. *HR*: Have a seat. *ME: *Sitting down. *HR*: Can I have your resume, please? *ME*: Oh, I didn't bring it with me. *HR*: Don't you know you're supposed to bring your resume to a job interview? *ME*: Well, this is my first one-on-one interview, so I guess I made a mistake not bringing it along. *HR*: Alright, can you introduce yourself? *ME*: My name is Aneel Kumar. I'm basically from Hyderabad. I completed my 12th grade in the pre-medical group in 2022, and currently, I'm pursuing my undergraduate studies in computer science at Sindh Madressatul Islam University in Karachi. *HR*: Good. So, where do you live in Karachi, and why do you want this job? *ME*: I currently reside in Clifton Block 8, and I'm interested in this job to become self-reliant and cover my education and living expenses. *HR*: That's commendable that you want to be self-reliant. *HR*: Aneel, you live in Clifton Block 8, and our company is located in PECHS Block 2, Tariq Road. Can you commute here daily for work? *ME*: *Confused Well, your hiring team or the company's ads misled me. I was under the impression that your company is located in Clifton Block 5, which is closer to my residence. If I had known it was this far, I might not have come for this interview today. *HR*: Don't teach us where we should be located. *ME*: Sorry, sir, but your ads and the old location totally misled me. *HR*: Alright, Aneel, tell me which shift you'll be available for the job. *ME*: Well, I'm a university student, and my classes are in the morning, so I can work the night shift at your firm. *HR*: There are two options. Which one suits you? *ME*: Sir, I can be available from 9 pm to 4 am, so that works well for me. *HR*: Okay, Aneel, what salary do you expect from us? *ME*: Sir, since I'm living away from my family, everything seems more expensive to me. My monthly expenses are around 20k, so I would like at least 35k as initial pay. *HR: *Looking surprised, Aneel, you're a fresher with no experience, so we can only offer you 25k. *ME*: Sir, this is not enough for me. Also, a person is judged by his work, not just his experience. *HR*: Fine, Aneel, we'll inform you about the hiring process next week. *ME*: Okay, sir. Thank you. *HR*: Finally, Aneel, let me give you a piece of advice to remember. *ME*: Please, go ahead, sir. *HR*: Aneel, whenever you go for an interview, always carry your resume with you and try to dress formally. Your first impression can be the lasting impression for the person interviewing you. *ME*: Understood, sir. I'll keep that in mind. The whole scenario is based on truly conversation of my job interview which was taken from hiring manager of a firm based in Karachi on May 8 , 2024. #jobinterview #job #karachifirm #hrandyou
