Fuel prices at the pump ⛽️ to reduce effective 15th January, 2024. Petrol will now be retailing at Kshs. 207.36, diesel at Kshs. 196.47 and Kerosene at Kshs. 194.23 The prices will then be in effect for the next 30 days.

After two consecutive price hikes, the costs of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) are expected to decrease by around Rs. 2.90 and Rs. 8.50 per liter, respectively, starting August 1 for the next two weeks. Gasoline prices in Russia on the exchange are falling after three days of growth. Gasoline and LPG have become cheaper on the SPIMEX, while other types of exchange oil products have become more expensive. Wholesale gasoline prices on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) went down on Thursday after three days of growth at the beginning of the week. Thus, 92-grade gasoline according to the territorial index of the European part of the Russian Federation fell by 0.5%, to 60.8 thousand rubles per ton, 95-grade gasoline by 1.9%, to 67.32 thousand rubles per ton, although their price had been steadily growing since Monday. A ton of LPG fell by 3%, to 35.9 thousand rubles per ton. However, diesel continued to rise in price in wholesale, increasing in price by 0.3%, to 61.53 thousand rubles per ton. The cost of kerosene increased by 1.3%, to almost 81 thousand rubles per ton, and fuel oil by 3.8%, to 28.8 thousand rubles per ton. https://lnkd.in/e6uAFN7x

Fuel prices are set to rise significantly starting tomorrow, 1st July 2024. Industry insiders indicate that the increase could be as much as Rs 9.84 per litre during the first fifteen days of the month. Sources disclose that petrol prices might increase by about Rs 7.54 per litre. High-speed diesel (HSD) could experience a steeper rise of Rs 9.84 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of light diesel oil (LDO) is expected to go up by Rs 8.73 per litre, and kerosene oil may rise by Rs 7.70 per litre. These price hikes are based on the current tax structure. If these adjustments are approved, consumers could be paying Rs 265.70 per litre for petrol, Rs 277.73 per litre for HSD, Rs 179.51 per litre for kerosene oil, and Rs 164.85 per litre for LDO. These estimates do not include any changes to the exchange rate.
