The Nordics is a vibrant region for MedTech innovation characterized by 🔬High-quality education and world-class clinical research institutes 👩🔬👨🔬High numbers of specialized talent ™ High number of IPs produced 🏥 Strong Health Care Systems 📟 High digital literacy But we need to do more. We need specialized investors, better governmental support, and broader soft funding opportunities. MedTech startups need access to knowledge, 3D printers, electronic labs, supercomputers, wet labs and more. A desk and a chair are not enough. The Icelandic parliament recently agreed to extend the R&D refunding program for "research-focused companies", which is great news. This has already helped several MedTech companies in Iceland to reduce the cost of developing industry-leading healthcare solutions. But one more year is not enough.
