It’s Tank Trouble Tuesday! A fueling facility in Tanknology’s Northeast region requested a TankCam inspection of a 8,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded. The TankCam inspection showed sludge, sediment and debris on the bottom of the tank. Residue is also visible along the side walls of the tank. Liquid drips are seen coming from the tank top and a possible crack is found along the side wall of the tank. TankCam® video inspection services from Tanknology help you detect UST problems with no need for excavation or manned entry. TankCam is patent pending. Request a quote: https://lnkd.in/gFy2nRZr

There are so many "silent" roles and business models that most of us don't think about; and when you start working for a company that provides important services you never thought about before, it's very eye-opening. A commonplace "chore" like filling up your gas tank has complicated processes, operations, and regulations making it possible. By reviewing inspections similar to the one featured here, I'm now part of the team that keeps gas stations safe for drivers and the environment. I've come to really enjoy working behind-the-scenes because I'm learning about industries I previously didn't think twice about. Posting on Linkedin isn't part of my job duties anymore, so this is a little career update for my connections before taking a hiatus online. My role at Tanknology is quite a shift from my previous roles, but I've learned that I thrive when I can support business operations by keeping the wheels turning (automotive pun intended). Loving all the new things I'm learning; plus I'm looking forward to career growth as D&H expands Tanknology's business!
It’s Tank Trouble Tuesday! A fueling facility in Tanknology’s Western Plains region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon, fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held unleaded. The TankCam inspection revealed a moderate amount of sediment in the tank and a crack and an active water ingress in the bottom, side wall of the tank. Small blisters appeared near the seam on the lower tank wall and several pieces of construction debris were found in the tank. At Englobe we are proud to partner with Tanknology and Austin Gilchrist to bring this amazing service to Canada. Have you ever wondered what the interior of your tank actually looks like? Corrosion, cracking, blistering, de-lamination that can compromise your fuel and potentially lead to catastrophic consequences. This is notoriously hard to pinpoint, getting a good clear look at what’s happening inside your tank is traditionally difficult and labor intensive until now. - Pin point the cause of a failed tank tightness test - Verify conditions before and after a tank cleaning - Locate unused riser openings and operational deficiencies - Structural problems of steel and fiberglass tanks - Post burial inspections for new tanks #englobestories #petroleum #fuelmanagement
It’s Tank Trouble Tuesday! A fueling facility in Tanknology’s Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam® inspection of a 10,000 gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded. The TankCam inspection showed an active water ingress through a crack in the endcap. Residue was observed throughout tank and flaking and peeling were found. After the product was removed, the TankCam inspection located the source of the ingress. TankCam® video inspection services from Tanknology help you detect UST problems with no need for excavation or manned entry. TankCam is patent pending. Request a quote: https://lnkd.in/gFy2nRZr

Technical Service Manager for Seamless Installation Solutions in the Dynamic World of Geosynthetics! 🌐
Ensuring the integrity of geomembrane installations is critical for environmental protection and infrastructure longevity. Vacuum boxing extrusion welds is a key process in detecting leaks early and preventing future issues. This method provides a reliable means of identifying weak points in welds, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards. By investing in thorough leak detection now, we can avoid costly repairs and environmental damage down the line. #Geomembrane #LeakDetection #EnvironmentalProtection #QualityControl

First we need to determine the difference between flexible, semi-rigid and rigid. Found a study you might interested to view. On the side note, ACI states that it is required to design slab in lateral forces. https://lnkd.in/gHN6Q5Za
What is the center of rigidity for a semi-rigid diaphragm?? Answer: Center of rigidity is only applicable to rigid diaphragms because in-plane slab deformation is variable across laterally loaded semi-rigid diaphragms. During computation, an arbitrary coordinate is selected and loaded, then center of rigidity is derived, as a function of stiffness, according to the displacement at this specific point. If a diaphragm constraint is not applied, displacement at any point will also depend upon variable local membrane deformation. As a result, no unique solution is available for center of rigidity since formulation assumes that all joints translate together in planar motion.

Pre-split blasting is a specialized blasting technique used primarily for wall control. Pre-splits present a challenging trade-off and the aim of pre-split blasting is to create a clean fracture plane between holes, so as to protect the highwall against excess energy from production blasting. However, pre-split blasting, especially in sensitive areas, can become a headache in terms of airblast/noise management. In a recent case study it was found that over a 2 year window of data, the Varistem Stemming plugs assisted in achieving an average airblast reduction of between 6% - 7%. This made the difference in terms of keeping the airblast below the maximum allowable USBM level of 134 dB. If you need to apply pre-split blasting and find it difficult to manage your airblast/noise levels, contact ERG Industrial to find out more on how the Varistem Stemming Plugs can assist in managing your airblast/noise levels during blasting activities. #miningindustry #miningengineering #drillandblast #noisecontrol #noisereduction #environmentalmanagement

Hey, it's Morph here, your Anode Superhero at Farwest! Unleashing the power of various anode types to create top-notch cathodic protection solutions is what I do best. Whether it's high-silicon cast iron, graphite, MMO, platinum, magnesium, zinc or aluminum, we’ve got the right anode for every scenario. At Farwest, we specialize in designing, providing and installing tailored cathodic protection systems that are optimized for your specific needs. Consider the challenges of underwater corrosion—each solution must be finely tuned. Anode performance varies based on numerous factors, including shape, size, water resistivity, temperature and water flow. Even the same type of anode can perform differently in diverse environments like seawater, freshwater or brackish waters, and even in varying sediments like silt, mud or sand. That’s why our CP experts meticulously gather environmental data to craft the most effective solutions. Looking for a robust cathodic protection system? Connect with a Farwest Corrosion Control expert today. Just say Morph recommended you! #Anodes #CathodicProtection #FarwestCorrosionControl
