Peer support groups and mentorship programs can provide the encouragement needed for a successful breastfeeding journey. Breastfeeding is a shared journey, one that requires understanding, support, and empowerment for all mothers. So many women do not receive the support they need to optimally breastfeed their babies. Notably, #Breastfeeding in public gets easier with practice but we need to treat it as a special meal time for the baby the same we take our meals at public places or food outlets. Support gives mothers confidence and the baby will in turn get sufficient milk. As the World Breastfeeding week comes to close, we must note that #Everyone has a role in Closing the gap to enhance breastfeeding support for our mothers throughout this crucial journey. #PartnersAgainstHunger #ClosingtheGap
