What are the difference between SSAW and LSAW Pipe ? Spiral steel pipes (SSAW Pipe) and straight seam steel pipes are currently widely used in water pipelines, construction and other industries, but there is a big difference between the two. 1. Different pressure-bearing capacity The strength of spiral steel pipes is generally higher than that of straight seam steel pipes. The main production process is submerged arc welding. Spiral steel pipes can use blanks of the same width to produce steel pipes with different pipe diameters, and can also use narrower blanks to produce steel pipes with larger pipe diameters. 2. Different specifications The specifications of spiral steel pipes are generally above 219mm, and most of them are of large diameter. The specifications of straight seam steel pipes are mostly of small diameter, but some manufacturers also have many large diameters. 3. Different prices Spiral steel pipes are mostly settled by measuring rulers, and the price of straight seam steel pipes is mostly settled by weighing, but the price of spiral steel pipe is about 300 yuan/ton cheaper than that of straight seam steel pipe. Piling pipes are a type of steel pipe that is often used in piling applications to provide a stable foundation for buildings and structures. It involves driving or drilling the piling pipes deep into the ground until they reach a stable layer of soil or rock, effectively transferring the weight of the structure above onto these piles. There are two main types of piling pipes: open-end and closed-end. Open-end pipe piles are known for their easy penetration and cost-effectiveness, while closed-end pipe piles are chosen for their minimized soil disturbance and suitability for cohesive soils. ✨ Main applications: Building foundations Bridge foundations Dock foundations Marine structure foundations Offshore construction foundations Highway foundations Railway foundations Oilfield construction foundations Column foundations .. Piling pipes can be ERW welded, Spiral welded or seamless .And the steel grades to be used depends on the requirements for strength and durability. One common steel for piling pipes is ASTM A252, which comes into 3 types. Other steel like GR.B, X42, X56, S355, S235,S275, K55, N80 also preferred.
