No question that East Midlands Mayor Claire Ward and the East Midlands Combined County Authority have taken on a big challenge with the task of lifting the economy across #Derbyshire #Derby #Nottinghamshire and #Nottingham through investment in #transport #homes #skills and #netzero . No question, either, that their efforts have suddenly been powered up in a big way with the transfer into EMCCA of the hugely experienced team from D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership . For more than a decade, they’ve been delivering increasingly effective interventions in key areas of the regional economy, developing a great reputation for strong partnerships and getting the job done. EMCCA and Mayor Claire are still building the team, but with the D2N2 team on board and more than £4bn available to the region, there’s every reason to be positive about some serious progress.
