The remarkable fast-attack #submarine USS Jimmy Carter (SSN-23) is one of the most incredible vessels ever to sail the seas. This Seawolf-class marvel is not like ordinary #submarines. It hums with unmatched speed, stealth, and weaponry even compared to more modern boats. It is also the most expensive SSN submarine the US Navy has ever built, costing over $3.5 billion two decades ago. Like a character in a superhero comic, this is a unique super-sub that underwent classified modifications by the military, producing enhanced physical capabilities that sets it apart from all other subs. | https://bit.ly/3Y5aL98 ⚓ ️ #silentservice #submersibles #maritime #AUV #UUV #defensecontractors #defenseindustry #nationalsecurity

NEW TYPE OF DESTROYER Many "navy" like Italian, UK, and US plan to build new destroyer. Of course they more skills than me around warship but I don't love too much that I can see. For these reasons started with the follow project "Bartolomeo Colleoni" The destroyer is one of most complex ship of navy. It is called upon for many roles both iondivudual and in naval squadron. The project need many skills and points of view. Many considerations have "created" the design that you can see. If I write, in one single shot, around them, this post will be tedious. In various post I'll write around different matters. Now numer one: 1) Cannons, small cannons, no cannons. With the end of battleship era, the calibre and numer of naval cannons decrease dramatically Today the destoryers mount one small bow naval cannon. Only few ships like Zumwalt class have doble. The new ammunitions, with possibility of change direction during fly, are very expensive. I think we agree that naval battle is unlikely to be resolve by cannon fire. Why i put two naval cannon on "Colleoni"? The target of them is protect landing or re-embarcation of Marines with brute force of 150mm land guns. I considered the different cost between missiles and projectiles, plus psycohological effect of them. More on the project in the future

This article presents some hard, well-researched math that the Department should consider when dealing with near-peer competitors for the first time in decades. I appreciate the time the authors took to lay out the linkage between recruiting issues and the limitations of the All-Volunteer Force. A must-read for those involved in planning.
Kent Park and I have just published "Was Fifty Years Long Enough? The All-Volunteer Force in an Era of Large-Scale Combat Operations" in National Defense University's journal "Joint Force Quarterly" and welcome your comments. https://lnkd.in/ePY7J_9z

Enemies in route step invade our Country. Enemies even bring or send their dependents to invade our Country. Enemies send chemicals to kill, addict, and poison our Country. So who vetted the foreign ownership of inappropriately adjacent land? So who really vetted the illegal aliens? So who really vetted the drugs. It is either long term illegal behavior or the result of long term incompetency by those in power or those who pay for the influence. It is beginning to seem like a trend. Do you remember the introduction of chinese red light and block the box cameras in DC? Hmmmp.
Fellow Navy SEAL, Matt Bracken, points out how China’s CCP has bought up land near our Air Force bases. Who allowed that?? Now, our enemies can launch their cheap drones from their own property & do $BILLIONS in FURTHER damage to our national defense by destroying countless aircraft in just 1 night. We cannot survive this continuing betrayal‼️ WAKE UP & FIGHT BACK. 🇺🇸

#ForceDesignFriday Maya Angelou said, "You can’t really know where you are going until you know where you have been.” The USMC is continuing toward Force Design 2030, emphasized by the 39th CMC, in FRAGO 01-2024 https://lnkd.in/e5C-xmSA This week highlights the 29th CMC. Gen. Gray discusses staffing tactical units while divesting capabilities into the reserves, including tanks. Gen. Gray also highlights operating concepts similar to those recently demonstrated by TF 61/2. https://lnkd.in/eMXraeSw "A major effort is being dedicated to studying our force structure. We want to put more Marines into infantry battalions, light armor units, and aviation squadrons. Those assets that are used mostly in general war, such as some of our heavy armor and certain engineer and logistics functions, may be considered for transfer to the Reserves. We want to combine reconnaissance, surveillance, remotely piloted vehicles, and selected intelligence functions into a single unit." All this to say, it's important to know where the USMC has been to know where the USMC is going. Mastering Multi-Domain Operations: In a rapidly changing world, military strategies have evolved beyond conventional limits. Multi-domain operations (MDO) seamlessly integrate land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace capabilities. The Fourth Infantry Division has a rich history of employing this approach, ensuring mission success through coordinated power. #IvyTeams #SteadfastandLoyal #MDO #DDAY80

As the Army is shifting for potential conflict against sophisticated nation states at much greater distances, senior leaders have expressed the need to move network complexity up from brigades and into their parent division headquarters. With that overall strategic imperative, the 3rd Infantry Division is taking it upon itself — using existing capabilities and tools without purchasing anything additional — to produce a new network architecture that will unburden brigades and make units more mobile for large-scale combat operations. https://lnkd.in/eVSzvHp2
