Climate for Kids - what all do you need for making your own ice age? Mild winters, cool summers, continents in the right place, and a bit of help from Jupiter and Saturn to change our orbit. Sun’s energy distribution can change enough to set off the ice-albedo feedback if everything is just right. And then you wait! And wait for a long time for the ice age to grow. As it gets colder, it gets drier and the snowfall decreases…so it takes a long time. How old I am and how old Uluru is? When one goes there and walks over the rocks I am young compared to Uluru and compared to Australia I will die young. Only if Uluru could speak and tell us it's story from the beginning of time what stories would it tell us? About the sea? The water levels? The stories of how humans first spotted it who visited it and found it first? About it's inhabitants? About the sea? About the weather? Who has visited? The surrounding structures and how it came to be? It's travels through time? Would it tell us we lack knowledge? What's it's lived through and seen What's happened there? How it looked and changed over time? What stories it would tell? Everyone writes down their stories on paper in only the last two hundred years. There are many untold stories? Not every living creature could write a story?

Its world, dominated by endless sand dunes and a relentless sun, has always been predictable, familiar, and unchanging. As it approaches the shoreline, the gentle breeze carrying the scent of saltwater might confuse and intrigue it. The rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the shore would be unlike anything it has ever heard — a far cry from the silence of the desert, occasionally broken by the wind’s whispers.The camel's large, curious eyes would likely widen as it gazes at the seemingly endless expanse of blue, so different from the golden sands it knows so well. It might hesitate, unsure of the vast, shimmering body of water stretching before it. The movement of the water would seem almost alive, as the waves ebb and flow, constantly shifting in a way the camel has never seen in the static dunes of its home.In that moment, the camel might take a cautious step forward, its feet sinking slightly into the wet sand, another unfamiliar sensation.
