Honoring Black History Month 🖤Inspired by JAY Z's powerful Grammy acceptance speech, I'm reminded of the resilience within our community. From unequal opportunities to systemic biases, underrepresented individuals face challenges across industries—getting overlooked for promotions and roles, not receiving accolades, even with stolen ideas that they then pass as their own. Jay's words echo the importance of showing up and staying encouraged, even when their actions and words try to tell you that you're not worthy. Keep showing up until they get it right! We love you. We just want you to get it right. It wasn't until witnessing his speech that I found the words I wanted to share this Black History Month. To my fellow trailblazers, keep pushing, keep striving – whether it's navigating unequal access, combatting stereotypes, or overcoming the hurdles of being overlooked. Your voice matters, your dreams are valid. Let Jay's success be a testament to the strength that lies within us. In every endeavor, from music to business, we navigate uncharted territories. So, to my community, stay up, stay resilient, and keep breaking barriers. Your journey is part of the rich tapestry of Black history, of American history, of world history, and your success is a beacon of hope for the generations to come. 🌟 (the opinions expressed within the content are solely the author’s and do not reflect the opinions and beliefs of any organization that I may be associated with) #BlackHistoryMonth #StayEncouraged #RepresentationMatters #Inspiration #InSolidarity https://lnkd.in/eQRE7eMD

🚀 Transforming Associations through Innovative Pricing and Value Strategies 📊 | Certified Association Executive | Certified Pricing Professional
What did Charli XCX say? I wish you’d talk, talk? Because I am! October is a busy speaking month. Here’s where to catch me, along with gratitude to these events for trusting me and partnering on pricing education. 10/1: National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals, courtesy of Flock Theory and Rhonda Payne, CAE, where I spoke on Event Data Analytics, KPI’s, and Revenue Optimization. 10/2: ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership’s Associations @ Work, courtesy of Diane Perrino, where I’m sharing a favorite of mine - 10 Starbucks Pricing Hacks for Associations. 10/3: BXNet - Builders Exchange Network, courtesy of James Raiswell, where I’m teaching on Value Propositions (and giving away 50 copies of our book, Pricing for Associations!) 10/7: Associations North’s Executive Edge, courtesy of Angela Kisskeys (whom I ALWAYS love working with - she’s a genius!), where I’m speaking on Pricing and Value Models (and giving away 50 copies of our book!) 10/16: Kansas City Society of Association Executives (KCSAE), courtesy of Amy Farmer, Ed.D., CAE, where I’m speaking on Value Propositions plus Pricing Impact (and giving away 40 copies of our book!) It’s busy, plus the 11 consulting clients we are currently working with, but I genuinely love what I do, the impact we make, and knowing we are making a genuine difference in the financial sustainability of associations.

We are generally terrible at celebrating our own wins. Then, we wonder why we burn out and struggle to understand whether we're achieving results. Set a milestone, achieve it, and celebrate it with a reward. Be proud of what you've accomplished, and put in the effort to showcase what you've done. Rinse, repeat, and do it again. I write about it here: https://lnkd.in/eEexqJnA
