Next in our Senior Spotlight series is FB graduating senior, Julien Sakouhi. This fall, Julien will be attending Parker University for their Doctor of Chiropractic program. Some of Julien's favorite music artists are Starletta, Drawn to the Sky, Kuren, Maroon 5 and Regard. Julien's fondest memories throughout his time at DIS include all the exciting experiments they worked on during his Physics and Chemistry classes. #DISseniors

Unlocking Flow: The Neuroscience of Creative Bliss Summary: A new study involving Philadelphia-area jazz guitarists, has explored the brain processes that enable creative flow. The research reveals that achieving flow requires a solid foundation of expertise, after which one must learn to relax conscious control to allow creativity to flourish. https://lnkd.in/gzdC5Kwu

Highly skilled music producer and composer with a diverse background in music theory, concert performance, composition, production, and songwriting.
Chaos having precise rules and rhythm is similar to the intricate patterns found in nature. At first glance, it may appear disordered, but upon closer examination, one can discern the symphony of interconnected elements working in perfect harmony. That’s what my next album is about. The linear perception of life as limited to time and space is an outdated algorithm. Embracing life multidimensionally daily and reflecting this in art represents an emerging new paradigm

Please, look, with special attention to the details of the mystery of the experience of existence in the eloquence of the search for empirical, theoretical, scientific and cognitive explanations of the transcendent phenomenon. In two last words: the ambiguity of the harmony that music established, in the middle of two pillars of civilization – art and science; in a number of narratives in audio frequencies that this studio work contains, at the beginning of the demystification process, of having faith, that sooner or later, the album title would provide enlightenment in the midst of this planetary darkness. 'Encrypted Emotions', I hope, will be that light at the end of the tunnel, where the spark precedes the sacred fire, so that mwe (me + we) have the privilege of having a meaningful participation in the story of the madness of the human prototype. I thank you. https://lnkd.in/dw3zH47k

This video simulates the experiment of the Higgs boson's existence. It substantiates the theoretical predictions of the Higgs mechanism, thereby establishing the Standard Model of particle physics as a comprehensive and empirically verified framework for understanding the fundamental nature of matter and energy. Music and Life Any piece of music - regardless of your taste - has a pattern that regulates its rhythm, cohesion, tone, etc. Even when there are two similar pieces, each of them still has a different taste or color. from a conceptual standpoint, each piece represents a balanced system - like compression systems - which means that The different instruments work together in harmony, and this similarity in any characteristic does not mean at all that one of the two pieces was derived from the other! Since long time ago biologists were astonished by the extreme diversity in the animal kingdom, during the past two decades, the cognitive vision of life scientists has become clear, as they see that every living creature represents a piece of music that is organized at Spatial and temporal levels. Complexity hasn't become merely spatial complexity, as the complex temporal behaviour of organisms have raised many questions about biological clocks and long-range coherence. In the absence of experimental and theoretical evidence that the Organisms came from each other, many minds still “believe” that the amazing pieces of music with unique architecture came from each other!

CT-scans of three violins made by David Rubio provided by prof em George Bissinger 20 yers ago. The violins were a part of a set of six made for experiments on player and listener experiences, for prof em. Jim Woodhouse and prof Claire Barlow at the Cambridge University, UK. They appear similar from the outside. The reason I look into this is because the material- and plate properties, except the plate thicknesses and arch heights are not given in the literature where they appear. I build a database of free plate violin data in order to try to make models of the plate resonance frequencies based on limited, but essential, input material, weights and geometry data. What you see is slices of three violins every cm or so from the lower end. They are stacked three of them. CT-scanning in hospitals outside working hours or in laboratories mas made a huge impact on violin making as data are shared and used for copying instruments and learning about their condition. Several makers have significant contributions in collaboration with research personnel like Terry Borman, Sam Zygmuntowicz, and John Waddle with the medical radiolog Steve Sirr, maybe they pioneered the work. And many others. George Bissinger has a long catalogue of violin acoustics literature articles. #violin #statistics #datamining #digitalisation #graduations #plateproperties #ioa #corelation #vibration #statistics #patternrecognition #godtlydmiljø Brekke & Strand

Jonathan Pageau, Liturgical Artist, Icon Carver, Public Speaker, and Owner of Symbolic World Press, is a keynote speaker at the upcoming National Symposium for Classical Education. REGISTER: https://lnkd.in/gQ7rH_Vf Our old stories have been remembered, retold, refined in different guises for thousands of years. For that very reason, what we consider Fairy Tales, although at first glance fanciful and absurd, contain patterns of attention, of harmony and disharmony, what Pythagoras called the Music of the Spheres. For being remembered and retold, they hold a key to what is important to us as humans. We will explore these patterns of consciousness, how stories frame and underlie our experiences with rhythm, how they shape us and our children by attention and care. #classicaleducation #classicaled

"...might be from studying the clouds." You people really don't get it, do you? Information flow tries to make these things obvious for you, and you still don't get it. 1. He was covered in pheomelanin, and the pathway fault responsible for that causes failures in inflammation suppression, hence enabling coherent negative surface curvature. 2. His intuition upon anger was to chop off an ear. Wake up: his body learned to start engaging with atmospheric vortices, and once you start, you can't stop, and when academia won't listen to you, all you can do is paint a picture that people don't even notice is actually physically brilliant until 134 years after your death, and even longer after you try to stop engaging in a violent way. https://lnkd.in/g6yN6JfP
