Very interesting draft content from Trent Copeland.
One of the first instances of a GM explaining a little more about their depth chart management.
As long as they are using good metrics to create the rankings for these depth charts, I’d expect them to have a good draft.
We discuss the importance of brute physicality in rugby and how teams that win the game line and collisions tend to dominate. We explore the specific methodology and layered approach required to create fantastic, brutal yet safe collisions that allow players to be robust and affect the game line. The best teams have high work rate, technical ability, and collision ability.

With rest defence becoming higher and higher in top level football, what impact will this have on the demands on players? What impact will this have on the way we design practice?

Manchester United vs Newcastle
Sequences:
- 4-3 In initial build up structure from Newcastle. Also, Width as best progressive zones with low positioning fullbacks as opposition's tendency to keep center zones in-compression.
- Man to man marking with dynamic jumps around ball zone, disrupting neareast options to play, fluidity in build up and provoking discomfort for possessor. Nonetheless, this used to be a common approach from Newcastle as United had trouble into finding their farthest man ( Wing-backs in maximal width) as they would be constantly under proper direct marking with their pairs (Newcastle's fullbacks)
- Newcastle's fluidity in build up, exploiting the passiveness in marking from opposition In central zones.
- Threatening positioning and rotations from Gordon ( more into half spaces rather than out-wide in channels) pinning Mazraoui, doing so it would avoid his correction to mark Lewis Hall (FB) in total Isolation in beyond positioning.
- Superb interpretation of spaces from Isak to approach in intervals and have the physical superiority against Lisandro Martinez as the 'target' man and zone/positioning to exploit in air duels.
- Newcastle's usage of 1-5-4-1 midblock and low block defensive foundations with proper inner coverage of spaces and fluid defensive shuffle.

7moGood Shout. Thought Leaders in Cricket are mostly scared of sharing their knowledge. It’s Good to See an individual and a team open the curtain.
