Four (+1 bonus) high-level predictions for healthcare by 2030. Not by 2024--too hard to get it right. These are big ideas that make sense and are absolutely possible. 1. Primary Care practices will look more like "Direct Primary Care," but with accountability for outcomes. 2. Behavioral health providers and physical therapists embedded in advanced primary care practices will be commonplace. 3. Inpatient hospital and ER utilization per capita will just be beginning to trend down. 4. Home-based acute and urgent care will grow in popularity.
