How does #valuebasedcare look like in small to mid size private practices? As it turns out, at Ally Integrated Healthcare we have been ALL about value based care all along. Using evidence based tools to quantify symptoms and measure impact of our interventions is built in, since inception of our company. Our note templates have built in mood screening tools, substance use screening tools, Trauma response screening tools among others. This approach helps us to enlist patient buy-in when it comes to their own care. In the end, we keep our most complex patients out of inpatient units. This is our way of reducing healthcare costs. That said, it takes resources to get here. Redefining compensation rates for community based practices like ours, helps us to continue delivering quality care which taking the load off of the large systems that can no longer afford to accommodate more patients. In the end, the patients win; get quality care without jumping through hoops for that care.
