‘You can trade from anywhere, all you need is a wifi connection’ Somewhat true, but you can’t sip cocktails on a beach somewhere while executing trades off your phone like the scammers make out. Like any remote job, you can take your setup anywhere and work as a trader. But you need to be well prepared and fully focused on the markets to succeed. You can’t just dip in and out while on holiday. The financial markets are complex and require focus, dedication and routine. Aside from that, you also need to consider time differences and session times while abroad. For example:- London traders see the best of the day Frankfurt session | London session | NY session then sleep through Asia. While west coast US traders need to wake up in the middle of the night to trade Frankfurt, London and early NY. Yes trading can provide freedom and a huge scaleable income, but it still takes a lot of hard work.

I've traded over 1,000,000,000 USD in FX transactions during the course of my career, and do you know what I've learnt..? That the single most valuable thing I can offer, is simply to 'care more' about my clients than anyone else. Quick overview first: 👉 I spent nearly ten years in London real estate 👉 I then spent 12 years in The City managing FX hedging for large corporates I reckon that makes me an expert. So what? 💡 Can I predict the future? - Nope ❌ 📈 Do I know exactly where the market's going? - Nope ❌ 📰 Do I know exactly how the news is going to affect the market? - Nope ❌ 🗞️ Do I use basic economic news as a reason to trade - Definitely not ❌ But what I can do is use all the experience I've gained to help people make the best decisions possible. ✅ Drawing on thousands of situations faced when making payments overseas ✅ Knowing 'what happened last time' to help build a clearer picture ✅ Simplifying complicated analysis to add objectivity to a strategy ✅ Knowing compliance limitations to help reduce friction/hold ups ✅ Understanding the markets intuitively, to guide better outcomes Above all, we care more about the outcome for clients than the revenue they generate. Bit of a 'halo shine'? 😇 Maybe. But by not chasing KPIs, we don't lose focus on the reason we exist. Afterall, how genuine is guidance and advice when targets and quotas have to be hit? How do you measure progress?

Last week I had an interesting phone call with a new potential client. He mentioned that before speaking to me, he had been finding it difficult to find an above-average FX partner. In his last 3 months on the search for one… He was able to quickly notice that many of the specialists he spoke to either: - Skimped on quality. - Slashed prices to stay ahead. - Or focused solely on profits over clients. None of which he wanted to be involved with. But that was until I spoke him through Central FX’s mission. ⬇️ Central FX’s team has always prioritised helping clients over profits. Because we see the value in forming strong relationships and delivering real value over just accumulating accounts.
