🌱 Your health is wealth. Healing naturally and adding longevity to your life. 🌱 Mental, Emotional and Physical illnesses
Seeing your child struggle with anxiety in school can be heartbreaking. From feeling overwhelmed by schoolwork to navigating friendships, their worries can feel heavy. But with your support, they don’t have to face it alone. Here’s how you can help: - Have open, gentle conversations about their feelings. Let them know you’re listening. - Teach them simple breathing exercises to calm their mind when things get too much. - Break down their tasks together, so things feel less overwhelming. - Remind them it’s okay to step back and take breaks when needed. - Stay in touch with their teachers to make sure they’re getting support where it counts. Together, we can make school a little less scary for them. #anxietyinschool #childanxiety #parentingadvice #schoolstruggles #mentalhealthmatters

Sending your kids back to school can be difficult, but these 5 tips will make the adjustment easier and quicker! Keep reading for more details ⬇️ 1. Create consistent morning and bedtime routines. Making sure your child is getting the sleep they need is so important to them having a successful day at school! Keeping a routine will help to ensure that need is met consistently throughout the school year. 2. Provide your child with choices so that they feel like their voice is being heard. Allowing them to choose from a small group of breakfast options, outfits, or school supplies empowers them to feel like they are a part of the decisions impacting them. 3. Model organization and communication skills. Kids often learn from what they see and the more you can show them the behaviors you hope they emulate, the better! 4. Praise behaviors you'd like to see from your child again and validate their worries. We all need encouragement and someone to lean on sometimes and being sure to give your child that support through the back to school transition is so important! 5. If your child is struggling, don't be afraid to find a therapist in your area! We'd love to help you at Pure Health Center for anyone local to the Chicago area 💙 If you need further support, reach out to Missy for parent coaching services #backtoschool #kids #children #therapy #childrensmentalhealth #therapist #parents #parentingtips #parentcoaching

The other day a friend summed it up this way: Childhood independence is a NATURAL REMEDY FOR ANXIETY in KIDS. YES! Children are naturally eager to grow and master the world. We thwart that by excessively watching, helping, intervening. Of COURSE kids need parents they love and rely on. But they also need time AWAY from us to discover what they're made of. That discovery -- that unfolding -- is independence. And the end result seems to be anxiety replaced by curiosity and confidence. Let Grow created the simple and FREE "Let Grow Experience" to make it easier for this to happen. It's a homework assignment teachers give kids that says, "Go home and do something new, on your own, WITH your parents' permission but WITHOUT your parents. Walk the dog, run an errand, climb a tree, make a meal..." It's a little push that gets parents to let their kids do more on their own. Once they do, the parents are thrilled to see their kids blossom! And the kids are so grateful, too, because they go from "defend mode" into "discover mode." Anxiety plummets in BOTH GENERATIONS. See for yourself, below. And to get The Let Grow Experience for your class or school just go to LetGrow . org and click on schools! https://lnkd.in/eKs5iHUv
