In honor of National Recovery Month this September, let’s take a moment to recognize the strength and resilience of those on their recovery journey. Recovery is possible, and every step forward deserves to be celebrated. There are many ways to support someone in recovery: - Listen without judgment and offer encouragement. - Help them stay connected with their support network. - Educate yourself on the recovery process and be patient. - Celebrate their milestones, no matter how small. For those supporting someone in recovery, your role is so important, but it can also be challenging. You can support them by: - Offering a listening ear and emotional support. - Encouraging them to take time for self-care. - Helping them find their own support networks. - Letting them know they don’t have to carry the burden alone. Together, we can break the stigma, uplift each other, and offer hope. 💜 #RecoveryMonth #SupportRecovery #YouAreNotAlone #CelebrateRecovery

We understand that the journey through substance use and recovery is deeply personal and challenging. Fentanyl’s presence has intensified this challenge, making it all the more important that we support one another. At The Recovery Center of Ohio, we believe that community is at the heart of recovery. By coming together, we can create a safer, more compassionate space where healing is possible. Let's continue to check in with each other, share resources, and offer support without judgment. If you or someone you know is struggling, we are here to help. Together, we can make a difference. https://lnkd.in/g6TkHTjB #FentanylAwareness #CommunityHealing #RecoveryJourney

Recovery is not a one-time event—it’s a daily commitment to growth, healing, and change. This month may be ending, but our support doesn’t stop here. Let’s continue to advocate for access to resources, challenge stigma, and celebrate every victory, big or small. Recovery is ongoing, and so is our commitment to it. #RecoveryMonth #RecoveryIsPossible #CelebrateRecovery #BreakTheStigma #SupportRecovery #RecoveryJourney #HopeForRecovery #RecoveryCommunity #StrengthInRecovery #HealingAndHope

We rarely worry about it, until it happens to us, or directly affects us. I say this from lived experience. I had no idea what suicidal thoughts were, I’d never considered suicide until I had suicidal thoughts myself. I’d never considered that suicide could impact the workplace until one of my staff attempted suicide. It’s time we considered suicide. It’s time we talked openly about suicide. Learn how to with Suicide Prevention Scotland by Mind and Mission in November.
Last week we launched another FREE networking event this time in Edinburgh. If you want to learn about suicide, to know the impact it has in our community and what you can do to prevent it, scan the QR code below.
