Thank you to Aaron Z. Lewis -- steward of Temperance Alley Garden -- for speaking to the GA HQ this week about your study of time, reconnecting to natural clocks, and reconnecting to spaces by understanding our place in their life cycle. As the founder of a tech company, I translate most teachings into the "tech" framework. A few ideas inspired by Aaron: 1. We should do a better job explaining to people the company's timeline and their place in history -- I think understanding time context in a company is important. 2. I realize many of GA employee's fondest memories connect to monthly and annual traditions -- St Patrick's Day Shamrock Madness, etc. We need more clockwork events. 3. I think buying a little hourglass to help us complete tasks within a certain time frame is great. Checking your phone and computer clocks = distractions. I am always so inspired by Aaron and his work -- he is one of the great community builders in DC. If any of you have not been to Temperance Alley Garden, I encourage you to check out the event schedule (https://lnkd.in/gqbwBUfe) and stop by!
