Robots are transforming warehouse operations! 📦 At Ocado Technology, hundreds of robots rapidly fetch items for online orders with impressive speed and precision. Suction-cup-equipped robotic arms handle everything from rice to crumpets! Asda and Walmart are also using robots to streamline product collection and distribution, aiding staff in packing deliveries. ℹ️ Fascinating facts about warehouse robots: → Ocado's robots deliver items to arms that use suction cups to pick them up. → AI interprets camera data to identify and handle objects smoothly. → Luton warehouse’s 44 robotic arms manage 15% of products, aiming for 70% in 2-3 years. Are fully automated, human-free 24/7 warehouses on the horizon? Feel free to engage in the comments. Thanks to Lukas M. Ziegler Ziegler for sharing. #robotics #automation
Daniel Kuepper, you are totally right! For reference, as of recent estimates, Amazon operates with more than 520,000 robots in its warehouse operations
Thanks for the credits!

4moBig players are already making huge strides in automation. In the next 5-10 years, the majority of the grocery and retail warehouses will be super automated albeit with a little manual operation (There will always be some products that cannot be automated). However, huge upfront capital investment may be a hurdle for a lot of small players. But, solutions such as Autostore -PIO may offer some help there.
