𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐚 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐞 🧑🤝🧑 Just like for a good human couple, a charger and its vehicle need to have good communication. But different standards and features can be difficult to implement and it’s therefore needed to test robustness and how your vehicle reacts to different chargers, cables or in case of malfunction. My colleagues Martin Göransson and Yasin Sharifi from the dSPACE Nordic AB team showed us live at VECS how that looks like. “It was great to demo our Smart Charging Solution and engage in so many interesting discussions. Showing how we overcame difficult technical challenges was really impressive to many visitors.” says Martin. “This solution supports various charging communication standards and allows for the development and testing of diverse EV charging technologies. It benefits a wide range of customers by enabling the simulation of electric vehicle supply equipment and onboard chargers” adds Yasin. #charging #ElectricCars #electricvehicle #ev #wallbox #EVcharging #chargingstation #smartcharging #vecs

While most battery innovations have focused on cathodes, at LionVolt we’re revolutionising battery performance by reimagining the anode. Our CEO Kevin Brundish spoke to Setform Limited on how our 3D Lithium anode technology helps to combat current industry challenges including; energy density, charging speed, and battery longevity. Kevin commented: "By taking out a graphite anode and replacing it with our lithium anodes, we can get 1.5 times the energy density compared to cells today, which is a very big step change. This enables things like electric flight to become more realistic and is applicable to the consumer electronics market, too." You can read the full story on pages 16-17:

Electrogenic have updated the classic DMC-12 🚗 🔋 This Summer, Electrongenic put some time into converting the classic DMC-12, best known for being the car used in Back to the Future. Whilst it's not quite generating 1.21 gigawatts, it is utilising 43kWh of OEM-grade batteries (placed where the fuel tank originally was), and above a new 160kW motor in the rear. Whilst these aren't groundbreaking speeds for an EV vehicle, it is quite the step up from the original DMC-12 which took over 10 seconds to from 0 to 60MPH. You can read more about this interesting conversion here: https://lnkd.in/e88-qYTy

How Do All-Electric Cars Work? All-electric vehicles (BEVs) run entirely on electricity, using a large traction battery pack and emitting zero exhaust. Without components like fuel pumps or tanks, BEVs rely on EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) for charging. Key Components of an All-Electric Car (BEV): Battery (auxiliary): Powers vehicle accessories. Charge port: Connects to external power for charging. DC/DC converter: Converts high-voltage DC to low-voltage for accessories. Electric traction motor: Drives the wheels using energy from the traction battery. Onboard charger: Converts AC to DC to charge the traction battery. Power electronics controller: Manages energy flow and motor torque. Thermal system: Regulates temperature of key components. Traction battery pack: Stores electricity for the motor. Transmission: Transfers power from the motor to the wheels. 👉 Don't forget to follow, like and share with friends #ElectricVehicles #Sustainability #Innovation #Technology #Engineering From: https://lnkd.in/eTNmhMn
