Fantastic to see so many people talking about #volunteering at the start of #nationalvolunteersweek. I've spoken before at length about the impact volunteering has had on me. There are thousands of wonderful causes you can give your time to and you can gain so many benefits from doing so. The key is finding something that's right for you. Want to develop a new skill-find a volunteer option that gives you that exposure. Want to give back-become a mentor or volunteer in a school! want to build a sustained relationship and steer an organisation forward-become a school governor or trustee! The best decisions I have ever made have involved volunteering. To reuse a quote I share far to often-Why would you not want to volunteer? Do something, do anything but don’t do nothing. You won’t regret it. Trust me.

I'm a big believer in the power of volunteering. It's not just about giving back to the community - although that's important. It's also about personal development. When you volunteer, you have the opportunity to: 1. Learn new skills 2. Meet new people 3. Gain valuable experience Volunteering can also be a great way to: - Boost your confidence - Make a positive impact - Have fun! If you're not already volunteering, I highly recommend it. And if you are, I'd love to hear about your experience! #volunteer #volunteering

Volunteering is often misunderstood, leading society to perceive it as suffering, discouraging engagement until a monetary value is attached. The society is rapidly becoming a more complex and complicated place for people to live in because of the lack of social awareness about the importance of willingly engaging in volunteering. It's crucial to recognize that volunteering is not about suffering; it's about serving, solving problems, and positioning oneself as a solution provider. While you're celebrating your volunteers during #GlobalVolunteerMonth it's a great opportunity to show the social impact they have created, but how do you actually measure it? 🤔 We like to group it into three different kinds of impact 👇 You can show social impact through: 1️⃣ Volunteering engagement 2️⃣ Number of people supported 3️⃣ Cost savings to the community If you need help to show how you've helped your community get in touch 👉 https://lnkd.in/gJ3wgGKz #EmployeeVolunteering #SocialImpact #Volunteering

Virtual Volunteering ++ Karthee Vidya Volunteer and Team Everest NGO provide one of the best online platforms to connect with students for sharing knowledge and experience with them. This time, I interacted with a college student as part of a program called 'Bridge'. We discussed topics like effective use of time, setting goals, building effective study habits, etc. As always, I enjoyed it a lot.
