This compromise in talent acquisition strategy is a common one: ✔ Hire people with less experience and train them (Hire for will, train for skill). ✔ Hire 2-3 more junior people in replacement of the single senior hire you could make, but can be hard to find/secure. Gateway and entry roles are essential, succession planning and ensuring you’re not top heavy as a business is essential, internal mobility and allowing people to have a bright and clear career path/future in your business is essential. Sometimes you just need the person who has done it before really well somewhere else and can do it again for you.
