Here are some lesser-known tips to make sure your mechanical systems work flawlessly: ✅ Plan for Future Upgrades: When placing your exhaust and intake ports, consider potential future upgrades to your HVAC system so you won’t need to relocate them later. ✅ Disguise with Landscaping: Use landscaping or architectural features to hide exterior ports without compromising their function. ✅ Optimize Airflow: Ensure proper airflow by placing intake and exhaust ports away from each other and in locations with good ventilation. 💨 Range hood PRO TIPS! 🍳✨ #7 on my top 10 list of things people forget when planning their homes is proper range hoods. The size of your range hood matters more than you think. It’s not just about clearing smoke—it's about making sure your kitchen stays comfortable while you cook.  Choose the right CFMs. Make sure your range hood's CFMs (Cubic Feet per Minute) match the size of your kitchen. Too little, and it won’t clear the air; too much, and it can mess with your HVAC system. Install a make-up air system. If your range hood is powerful, install a make-up air unit to balance the air pressure in your home, preventing drafts and improving indoor air quality.
