In my experience helping people become Confident Speakers, there are 7 types of Public Speaking Fear. 1. Audience Fear - the audience is out to get me and will mock me 2. Anticipation Fear - worry about everything that COULD go wrong 3. Learned Fear - a bad experience in the past taught me fear 4. Credibility Fear - I don't know enough/am not good enough 5. Forgetful Fear - everything I know is going to vanish without trace 6. Performance Fear - I won't be as good as others, I won't be perfect 7.
