Learning is Never Ending. It was great learning experience of Graphic Design with Photoshop

Great learning how to design characters with Illustrator from scratch.

I'm having a seriously tough time imagining myself learning Photoshop from a book these days. But if I had to, I would want it to like this Something really beautiful, where the example images are chosen with intention and taste. Type is a considered design element. It's something I'd want to keep and not throw away. Non-Photoshop people could pick it up and flip through and still feel inspiration. The techniques are foundational and won't be made obsolete by upgrades. So, could it be a quasi-coffee-table book and still teach? Is that even possible?! I dunno. 99% of Photoshop books are built like user manuals for off-brand furniture instructions, or Ranger-Rick craft projects (no-dis to Ranger-Rick, I heart you). I don't like tutorials that use uninspiring images for good instruction, it's a disregard of form for function. I think we're over that. At least in book form. I learn mostly from youtube, of course, just like you. Premiere Gal and Valentina V teach me to edit video every day. So many others, too many to name. I want to believe that printed hold-in-our-hands books are still valuable for learning our digital crafts. I have fewer answers than questions. Maybe you can help me out on this one. Late last year I had someone ask me what graphic design skills were necessary for good learning design, and I think my brain pretty much seized. Graphic design is such a huge topic, and good design skills are so integral to good development. I just didn't know where to start on explaining. How do you explain thirty years of working with highly-skilled professionals? How do you explain thirty years of trying to produce high-quality materials in the absence of those people? My head filled with phrases like 'rule of thirds', 'white space', 'cognitive load', 'branding', 'consistency', 'colour theory'. But all my GD training has been experiential learning on the job. I don't have an overarching model in mind. What do you think is necessary?

Hello guys! 😁 Today I have completed e-learning about Graphic Design from MySkill. I am motivated to deepen my knowledge and insight into the material. This course is divided into 3 major different topics, namely graphic design fundamentals, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. I was impressed with the fundamental material because this material is rarely found, different from the technical insights or software operations that are already abundant on the internet. This course is very interesting from the course concept, such as e-learning, but still has practical features. By studying this course, hope it will help my career path.

You will not learn designing watching designing courses! Let me explain why. Watching courses is a great way to understand designing But until you focus on the application part, nothing is going to work Recently, I was learning Photoshop and Illustrator through a course But due to time shortage, all I was doing was watching videos It made me feel like I knew how to use Photoshop But later, when I started creating a design, I was blank That's when I realized nothing sticks until you practice If you want to improve your design skills, watch videos but, most importantly, apply them practically I thought learning design needed a set route But I was completely wrong It's a process of continuous learning Every day, you'll learn something new and still feel there's more to grasp It's easy yet complicated to learn and grow The poster shows the before and after: how I used to think learning design was straightforward But now I see there's so much to learn and explore Every step forward opens up many new directions But I'm happy because I never feel like I've done everything There's always a zeal to move and learn more Let's keep learning and growing together! Did you have to learn Photoshop on your own? The do-it-yourself learning tools have been useless to me. I think in a linear patter, and if you just throw in one thing I can’t understand, I’m dead in the water. I need to find someone to teach me Photoshop. But I need to take time away from painting and from writing posts (my favorite thing to do!) in order to learn something new. I could even change colors in my paintings! And I could move trees around. I only know how to use Microsoft Paint – which is practically nothing! But that learning curve for Photoshop - oh my goodness! I’d have to understand resolution and DPI and using layers and how to cut out images on an I-pad (I’d have to get an I-pad) and, heck, I’d probably have to learn to use my scanner!
