The Importance of Good Technique in VFX Compositing

I've been hard at work on my Mig-29I video in Unreal Engine, tackling my most challenging shot yet. My initial plan was a continuous, drone style one-shot of jets flying through a valley, but it lacked the dynamic excitement I envisioned. After realizing that movie editing was invented for a reason, I decided to split the scene into several shots with different camera angles. The result is much more dynamic, resembling an action movie. While there's no color grading or compositing yet, this test edit shows promise. Next, I'll work on the final act, then move everything to Nuke for compositing, and finally to DaVinci Resolve for editing, color grading, and sound design. #UnrealEngine #VideoEditing #Aviation #3DAnimation #VisualEffects #DaVinciResolve #Filmmaking #PostProduction
