Our Women in Restaurant Leadership Summit in Nashville, as many of you know, actually began with a panel idea at last year's QSR Evolution Conference and NextGen Resturant Summit. That panel became way too crowded, so we turned it into a roundtable, which also filled up. So we flipped to a "Cocktail Networking Reception" intended for about 50 people. That ended up with 155 as the hotel clamped it down. What was cool was, at one point, a third of our entire conference registration were women thanks to this one-hour event. And once it began, people started telling me how it could be better (looking at your Mary Jane Riva, CFE!) And that's what spurred the separate event we just hosted recently. All said, we're not just bringing the WiRL Cocktail Reception back to Atlanta in September, we're also launching two massive educational sessions ahead of it, one on the QSR side and one for FSR, alongside a ton of other engaging content intended to further deepen this community. WiRL will be well represented, to put it lightly. To clarify, this is part of the larger agendas for QSR Evolution and the NextGen Summit. The separate Nashville WiRL event will be back in February. There are also going to be separate, one-one-one fireside chat sessions with Maria Rivera of Smalls Sliders, Anita Adams of Black Bear Diner, and Lindsay Radkoski of The Wendy's Company. As well as presentations hosted by Lisa W. Miller and Courtney Leyes and Emily Litzinger. Going to be massive.
