🏞️ Ever wondered about wells and septic systems in rural areas? Join me as we demystify these essentials of countryside living! In mountainous regions like ours, city water isn't always an option, so residents rely on private wells. I'll explain how these wells work, from drilling to pumping, ensuring a steady supply of fresh water. Plus, we'll dive into septic systems, another vital component, managing waste efficiently without city sewer lines. Let's uncover the basics of mountain living together! #RuralLiving #WellWater #SepticSystems 🚰💧

Across Florida, over 2.6 million aging septic tanks are breaking down, leaking toxins that threaten environmental quality of life and contributing to algae blooms in the near-shore waters. Since much of Florida’s soil is not suitable for septic tank installation, essential collection and treatment functions are virtually impossible. That’s why E/One’s ALL-TERRAIN SEWER system has become the effective and economical solution of choice in septic tank abandonment and septic-to-sewer conversion programs across Florida — including the Florida Keys. See how we provided critical infrastructure with lower construction costs, fewer community disruptions, and minimal environmental impact here: https://lnkd.in/gPsDXkyE

With all the rain the Charlotte area has received over the last month, you probably have either seen a ton of mud and washout in the streets and right-of-ways OR a lot of straw matting starting to standout along the roads. This before and after was to install matting and wattles to help prevent sediment from leaving the job site for one of our site development partners. When there is heavy rainfall, certain areas of sites need additional services to keep the proper water flow. Taking these steps is often a requirement by the local municipality as they inspect to ensure sediment is not reaching local water sources. #sitedevelopment #erosioncontrol

Unique groundwater features dot the urban-rural landscape of the North Cannon River Watershed. Leading the update of their comprehensive watershed management plan, we explored the connection between land use, groundwater, and surface water resources. Trout Brook highlights this complex interaction common in the karst landscape of the Minnesota driftless region. Studies have revealed that 30–40% of Trout Brook’s flow derives from groundwater, which is high in nitrates. Solutions focused on reducing nitrate runoff and infiltration into the groundwater to help protect and preserve these diverse ecosystem resources. #GroundwaterAwarenessWeek #ISGWater #NorthCannonRiver #WatershedManagement
