Little Details, Big Mountain I have photographed that exact mountains dozens of times…I have photographed it from different angles and even from different lakes with very different results every single times. This was a mid afternoon image…I rarely take my camera out of my camera bag in the middle of a day and that is simply because I rarely think that the light is worth it! I simply don’t like when the sun is at it’s highest point in the sky! Or do I? On that specific day, things were very different…there was a lot of atmosphere in Banff! Clouds were hugging the peaks…sun was coming in every couple minutes creating some truly gorgeous contrast. I spotted that composition which had multiple diagonal lines, rich and warm side light and amazing rolling fog patches every where. The power of intimate photography is to be able to spot these kind of small compositions inside of grand scenes like this. Fun fact, I just created a Blog Article about intimate photography! That article should help to inspire you by guiding you through a couple main lines and what to look for when ever creating intimate images. The link is below! I hope you enjoy! Don’t forget to subscribe to my newsletter if you don’t want to miss any articles!🙃 https://lnkd.in/e75_QS6C Would you be able to tell which mountain that is? Comment below if you know! Or at least give it a try…🤪 #dantyartphotography #shotoncanon #fstopgear #hikingtheglobe #earth #earthpix #planet_earth_shots #special_shots #ig_shotz #moods_in_frame #moodygrams #albertacanada #travelalberta #discoveralberta #imagesofcanada #livelovecanada #canadatravel #rawcanada #canadaparadise #tourcanada #canada #explorecanada #cangeotravel #canada_photolovers #canadianrockies #insidecanada #canadavisuals #nationalparkscanada #parkscanada

Hello there, folks! How’s it going? I hope you’re all doing really great and enjoying your Tuesday. You know, one of the most enjoyable things about landscape and seascape photography, in particular, is the idea that no two images are ever the same. Yes, I know I’ve said that loads of times, but it’s true! Every single time you press that button—poof—something new and unique is created. Pure magic! It’s the real thrill of the pursuit. Combine all of this with a place as iconic as Dublin’s 40 Foot, and well, you have photo heaven (until you lose your filter, of course... deep breaths, Neil, deep breaths). I really love this shot. I was so delighted when the sky lit up in all its pink pastel colors the way it did. I love how the leading line and the heaviness of the rocks on the right side of the frame contrast so beautifully with the motion captured in the water. This spot—and others like it—are perfect opportunities to learn all about shutter speed and how it affects the mood, feel, and composition of the images you want to capture. If you’re interested in learning any of these wonderful techniques, you’re most welcome to head over to my website and check out the workshops I have lined up for this year and beyond. If you haven’t already watched my latest video on YouTube, feel free to check it out. And if you’re not already subscribed, why not join the adventure? A fine ramble for your Tuesday there. Take it easy, everyone. Cheers! #LandscapePhotography #SeascapePhotography #PhotographyTips #DublinViews #40FootDublin #ShutterSpeed #PhotographyWorkshops #SunsetPhotography #IrishCoastline #MagicMoments #PinkSkies #NatureLovers #ExploreMore #CaptureTheMoment #PhotoInspiration

In the world of photography, revealing the unseen is akin to crafting a symphony of colors and landscapes. This week's feature captures the mere essence of Full Spectrum Photography – an ode to the light no ordinary eye may behold. Picture this: A moody landscape with autumn’s tapestry subduing the scene, a scenic road shimmers with dreams, still damp from a recent drizzle. This composition reveals nature's hidden palette, unlocking colors and details that seem almost conspiratorial in nature. Why Full Spectrum? It captures the world as nature never intended us to see it, turning the ordinary into extraordinary, transforming your perception with each click. - Wavelength Spotlight: Full Spectrum - Fun Fact: Imagine if Monet were a photographer - welcome to his universe. Would you like your workspace to channel such energy? Let's talk about how you can integrate this art into your environment. #DreamWorldImages #FullSpectrum #ArtInBusiness #InnovationInArt #InfraredPhotography

As a night photographer, I find that working after dark creates a unique opportunity to truly focus on a subject. With fewer distractions, I can control the light and direct the viewer’s attention in a very intentional way. One of my favorite techniques is using a flashlight to 'paint with light,' selectively highlighting areas of the scene for a more dramatic effect. This image of a Pinyon Pine in Zion National Park was taken just after a storm had blown through. Initially, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to capture the iconic red canyon walls under a cloudy sky. But when the clouds parted, the moon raked across the canyon, providing the perfect natural backlight while I illuminated the tree in the foreground. Night photography isn’t just about capturing images—it’s about embracing the unpredictability of nature and working with light in a way that elevates the subject. It’s in these moments that the right techniques and patience can transform a scene into something truly unforgettable. #NightPhotography #PhotographyTechniques #LandscapePhotography #ZionNationalPark #PinyonPine #PhotographersOfLinkedIn #VisualStorytelling

Today is World Photography Day! I am celebrating it in Maine on our annual vacation. Most people go on vacation to put down their tools. I go on vacation to use them even more. The only difference is that the photos have a different meaning but truthfully the same purpose. We think of photography as capturing the moment or finding something interesting or beautiful to show the world. But when you take it a step further, we are recording history because that moment will never happen again, and as well all know life can change in a heartbeat. This is an image captured on the coast of Maine. It feel's like it is an architectural metaphor of a portrait of an elderly fisherman with a weathered face from a life time of hard work on the sea. This building could be gone in the next storm as well as the man. If that happened suddenly, the image could become a treasured keepsake. A way others could remember and tell the past story. This makes the camera such a powerful tool that could benefit societies for many years to come. So on International Photography Day think about all those moments that you have captured and find a method to store them to stand the test of time. Store digital images in 3 places and print as much as possible. Try to find a way to pass them on. Maybe a local historical society would love them. Anyone of us could pass away suddenly. You cell phone and account will likely go away and all those memories you have captured. Yes, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as other social media platforms will also go away some day. Don't let them be your historical record. Have a wonderful day! #Worldphotographyday2024 #architecture #Architecturephotography

🍃 The Power of Green in Photography 🍃 Green is more than just a color – it’s the essence of nature, growth, and tranquility. Whether I’m capturing landscapes, plants, or subtle tones in everyday scenes, green always brings a refreshing and calming energy to my photos. 📸 Why I love working with green: 1. It symbolizes *life and renewal*, bringing depth to any image. 2. Green has a *natural balance* that harmonizes with other colors, making it versatile for both vibrant and minimalist compositions. 3. The calming effect of green invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and connect with nature through the lens. In every frame, I aim to capture the beauty that nature naturally offers us, and green is often at the heart of that beauty. #Photography #GreenInFocus #NaturePhotography #PlantLovers #ColorTheory
