🌍 Today is World Compassion Day 🌟 A day to reflect on the importance of kindness, understanding, and empathy in our daily lives. Compassion isn’t just about big gestures; it’s the small acts that often make the biggest difference - listening to someone in need, lending a helping hand, or simply being there when it matters most. In the work I do with the Victorian Farmers Federation and the Making Our Farms Safer program, I see firsthand how compassion can transform communities. Whether it’s supporting farmers through challenging times or ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those working on the land, compassion underpins everything we do. Let’s use today as a reminder to foster compassion in our workplaces, homes, and communities. It’s not just an emotion - it’s a powerful force for positive change. #WorldCompassionDay #KindnessMatters #MakeADifference

At People for People, we believe that 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞. Today and every day, we think of the innocent people who have been senselessly killed over the past year due to escalating violence in the Middle East. Each life lost is a reminder of our shared humanity and the urgent need for compassion across all communities. The profound pain experienced by families and communities affected by violence highlights the need for understanding and solidarity. Every individual impacted by this conflict represents a story, a dream, and a future that has been cut short, emphasizing the necessity for a compassionate response to such tragedies. 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, striving for a future where every individual can live without fear and thrive in an environment of safety, respect, and shared hope. Where Is Our Humanity? Change is inevitable, but what kind of change are we fostering? Why should anyone abuse another person or hold someone else hostage—physically, emotionally, or mentally? These are questions that weigh on our collective conscience. 📍Where has our sense of right and wrong gone? 📍What has happened to the humanity that binds us together? Even animals often show care and protection for one another. How, then, as humans, can we allow such cruelty to persist? It’s time to pause and reflect. It’s time to rise and say, “Enough is enough.” We need to rediscover our compassion, our morality, and our shared responsibility to protect and uplift one another. 📍Speak Up for What’s Right. Don’t stay silent in the face of injustice, and if you do, you have taken side with the oppressor 📍Promote Kindness. 📍Hold Abusers Accountable It’s on all of us to take action. Change begins with each individual decision to do better, to care more, and to stand up for humanity. Let’s be the change our world desperately needs. #GilaSeliktar #HumanityFirst #StandAgainstAbuse #BeTheChange #CommunitySupport #SpreadKindness #RestoringSanity

👉We are accelerating societal transformation by harnessing the power of the most common human experience to reshape our values, cultural beliefs, and our emerging future. We believe in harnessing the will of the people, rooting the movement in their lived experiences, and aligning policies and systems for regenerative and distributive economies. 👉To achieve this mission, we work across health, social, and economic issues that are central in preserving the rights, dignity, and solvency of all bereaved individuals. This means we stand up to power — political or financial — when it seeks to marginalize, diminish, or take advantage of bereft people, particularly during life’s toughest moments. We stand firm in this mission, even when it requires us to take an inconvenient or unpopular point of view. 👉Our nation can do better. We are working every day to bring more and better resources to people and the professionals who serve them. Bereavement care in America is broken. 🕊️💛 We hope you will join us in making the world a more livable place for bereaved people. Learn more about our mission at Evermore.org.

Can a fractured world ever truly heal? At the Reconciliation Center, we believe it can. Here, harm is repaired, relationships are restored, and peace is cultivated—not just for individuals but for families, communities, and beyond. Through healing retreats, workshops, and dialogues, we create blueprints for every community to rebuild trust and repair harm. Rooted in an organic farm and an intentional women-led community, we unite people with the land, with each other, and with themselves. This is more than a vision. It’s a movement for reconciliation, healing, and justice. Will you take the first step with us? Follow Restore Forward for more.
