The government has launched a consultation for its Nature Repair Market, set to be the world’s first government-run voluntary biodiversity credits market, aimed at restoring and protecting environment. The consultation invites feedback on key elements like project registration and biodiversity certificates. The consultation will run until Sept. 30, paving the way for a launch in 2025. Biodiversity credits are emerging as a premium asset, distinct from carbon credits, reflecting their vital role in enhancing regional biodiversity.
