Elements of our inspiration, like the Loktak lake, the ever-floating clouds that constitute the Manipuri air space, or the motifs that were derived from local fauna, are all brought to light. The article elaborates on how the bamboo plantations have found themselves a place by inspiring the columns that support the expansive roof structure. Travelers here would be greeted with contemporary local motifs as an underlying graphic language. The strong presence of the moulded fish net understructure celebrates the primary occupation of fishing here. With this development, Imphal emerges to become seamlessly connected with the world and paves a path of prosperity for itself.
