It's been almost 3 months since I left my last employer. Although I never thought I'd leave a job without a back up plan, these last 3 months have offered some truly amazing perspective in terms of my mental health and how being neurodivergent affects a person is a neurotypical world. Some of the positives have been: - spending more time with my son and step-kids during their time off school (and saving on child care costs while at it) - the ability to really sit down and think about what direction I want to take my career in. - a better understanding of how to deal with my neurodivergency that is both beneficial to me and wherever I may land my next career journey The negatives: - I am not built to be a SAHM, even though the children are all older. It's definitely not something I would enthusiastically chose to do, but I definitely salute all those who do it, cause it's not easy at all!!! - The world is getting more expensive and not having a steady source of income is proving stressful. It's definitely a hard market out there, but I am positive that the right role will come at the right time. #jobhunting #unemployed #lookingforwork #insuranceprofessional #publicrelations #SAHM

You don’t need to "overcome" your trapped feeling. You need to listen to it because it’s an accurate response to the oppressive work model you're operating in. Psychologist Dr. Wayne Dyer famously said, “If you are what you do when you don’t you aren’t”. A clever choice of words and a serious issue for some who lose their job or can longer perform it. I have a helped clients in their 50s that after 20 years with a company were “right sized”; corporate speak for a RIF (no one that’s out of a job feels it’s right). These folks often feel depressed, question themselves, and worry about their financial future. But most end up realizing it was a blessing in disguise. After the shock wears off, we are able to develop an actionable career transition plan that lands them in a role and organization that will provide the psychic salary they never had. Making new work friends can take some time but it’s a great opportunity to stretch and grow. The best advice is to embrace it as an adventure and a new chapter in your life. A few months ago, I found myself at a crossroads in my career. After facing health challenges and mental strain, I made the tough decision to leave my job and take a break to focus on my well-being and spend quality time with family. It wasn’t an easy decision, as the pressure to keep moving forward was overwhelming at times. But life has a way of surprising us. During my time off, I received a call for an interview, and after an online interview, I was offered a new role. Just 10 days later, I joined a new company, and I couldn’t be more excited about the future. This experience has taught me a powerful lesson: sometimes, we need to step away in order to regroup and grow. Trust the process, believe that something better is always on the horizon, and don’t be afraid to go with the flow. Taking care of your health—both physical and mental—is crucial, and it’s okay to take a break when needed. Let’s normalize NOT building your identity around a career. I did this. When I intentionally quit one of my corporate roles to take a much needed break, I didn’t know who I was. Everything I had done for those past 15 years, revolved around building my career. Psychologists use the term “enmeshment” to describe where the boundaries between people become blurred, and individual identities lose importance. Enmeshment prevents the development of a stable, independent sense of self. While identifying closely with your career isn’t necessarily bad, it makes you vulnerable to a painful identity crisis if you burn out, get laid off, or retire. What happens is you experience depression, anxiety, physical health issues, worry. But by claiming back some time for yourself and diversifying your activities and relationships, you can design the best YOU who was meant to be on this earth.

The sudden loss of job for no apparent cause had a significant impact on a person's entire career, since he was the sole provider for his family. All future goals that they had in the works had vanished for a long time, and the reverse gear of professional life had automatically activated. All of their dreams for their families and children have finally come to an end. Every day, the amount of trauma and depression increased, and individuals stopped eating properly, resulting in a big calamity. Finally, they become I'll, and their lives come to an end. However, the people who are the principal culprits in generating these situations remain unaltered, They neglected everything just to gain a minor advantage, such as forcing their superiors to shine their shoes or lift weights. "But there is a power that always compensates you for anything you have done in the past with anyone "Kunn" finally puts folks in the same area where they pushed their colleagues in the past for receiving benefits" So, I would like to propose that all LinkedIn connections assist those who have lost their employment as a result of dirty backbiting and politics from these perpetrators.
