Managed and overseen by the #Port Authority of #Valencia, Valencia’s Seaport serves as a strategically significant hub for both short and long-distance service routes. In this context, DARES TECHNOLOGY has conducted a multi-temporal #InSAR analysis of this area using #ESA #Sentinel1 #SAR images from June 2023 to December 2023. While most #urban areas remained stable, several active #displacement processes have been identified around the #harbor sector, with #subsidence magnitudes in some areas reaching up to 4 cm. Understanding displacement processes dynamics is crucial for #preventing unexpected #damages, especially in areas with intense human and #commercial traffic. 👇 Check this out! 📰 A groundbreaking underwater tunnel connecting Europe to Africa has been proposed for 2030! ❔What do we know so far…? - The tunnel would link Europe’s high speed rail network to North Africa, measuring 17 miles. - It would depart from Madrid and travel via Algeciras and Tangier, then pass under the Strait of -Gibraltar. - The journey would reportedly take five hours and 30 minutes to switch continents. - SECEGSA have stated that over 12.8 million passengers a year could benefit from the crossing and will see an increase in trade of 13 million tons of cargo between the continents. This will completely change the way people travel between Europe and Africa with a huge opportunity for growth in trade and tourism. 👀 We will be keeping an eye on this one! #GibraltarTunnel #Afrotunnel #MoroccoSpainConnection #EuropeAfricaLink #UnderwaterTunnel #InfrastructureDevelopment #TheKIMCOGroup #ExportDevelopment #InternationalTrade 🗞 https://lnkd.in/egUmQkQ4

Advocating Monitoring of our Infrastructures for a Safer Environment - Entrepreneurial CEO | Driving Business Strategy, Innovation, Partnership, and Growth
In June 1964, the Autostrada del Sole (A1) emerged as a pivotal feat of Italian #engineering. The stretch from #Milan to #Naples, spanning 764 kilometers, officially opened on October 4, 1964. This monumental project, recognized at #MoMA in New York, showcased Italy's prowess in science, technology, and creative genius. The #highway revolutionized travel, reducing the journey time from Milan to Naples from two days to just 8 hours. The #AutostradadelSole, initiated in 1956, symbolized Italy's modernization and connectivity. Over the years, it has become a vital artery for the nation, handling a significant portion of passenger and freight traffic. With 113 bridges and viaducts, 672 overpasses, 38 tunnels, and 57 interchanges, this highway stands as a giant infrastructure project, essential for keeping the country on the move. #Italy #ItalianEngineering #AutostradadelSole #InfrastructureDevelopment #MoMAExhibition
