Txs Andrea Baroni for highlight this important topics...totally agreed that CTS is the "only" KPI that "matters"! What we are talking then..: Cost to serve is an analytical framework used to assess the true cost of meeting customer requirements. The broader objective of determining this cost is to streamline supply chain planning and decision-making to cost-effectively meet customer demand.

Amazon shipping cost increased again in 2023 : from $83.5B to $89.5B, it's +7.18% (+$6B). Annual revenue was even better : it moved from $513.98B to $574.78B, it's ten times more (+$60B) with +11.83% increase. The most interesting achievement is the "cost-to-serve a customer", that decreased for the first time since 2018 by $0.45. As Amazon sells some billions items per Year, imagine what it means to save 45 cents per item. Billions of $, again. #costsavings #costoptimization #shippingcosts Credit to Statista
