Following up on my previous post focused on the Balkan region, here's an expanded look at the average rents for one-bedroom apartments in European capital cities in 2023. The data is sourced from surveys conducted with real estate agencies including unfurnished apartments ranging from 40-60 sqm situated in good-quality residential areas built within the last decade. #europe #rentalmarket #apartments #realestate #rent
I can say it's quite accurate for the countries I know best, Ireland, UK and Switzerland. Ireland and UK reflect pretty much my experience in Dublin and London, while Switzerland is a bit low for Zurich, but probably accurate for smaller cities.
Turkiye seems to be the cheapest on the list since it is based on capitals. But if it was based on metropolises, Istanbul would be measured instead of Ankara and it would be one of the most expensive rents in Europe...))
What is missing is ratio between average income vs rental price vs vacancy rate !! These can partialy only serve investment community!
