This morning I spent a humbling few hours with colleagues from the Distribution directorate at Darlington Building Society, volunteering at local charity The Junction foundation in Middlesbrough. Louise Thorpe, Clare Wilson, Chris Blewitt and I enjoyed a few hours away from the office, packing Christmas hampers and family parcels for just some of the families in need. With Christmas just around the corner, many families in Tees Valley are facing difficult choices between heating their homes and gifts under the tree. This year, The Junction is appealing to businesses, schools, and individuals to help ensure no child or family in Tees Valley is left without food, warmth or a gift this Christmas.
