An underutilized but so! critical step that too many founders completely forego. That discovery totally blew my mind when I started digging deep in the venture space. (It also meant that my research process of (in)validation was giving our founders and the studio such a competitive advantage 💪🏽.) one day I’ll have a whole preso on this but for now… Check out the workshop 👇 and use research to your advantage.
It’s easy to get excited about the next innovation project, initiative or venture that you’re working on. We get it. Building stuff is fun. But too often corporate innovators and business strategists end up building things people don’t need or want. Elizabeth van Monsjou, PhD, Senior Venture Strategy Director of Research Highline Beta is running a virtual workshop on July 24th where she will show you how to conduct user research to gather and analyze key insights, with the goal of finding problems worth solving and building better ventures. Early stage founders can relate to this! You know when you are building your business, but things don't seem to be working? Everything you try feels like a struggle against invisible forces. Then you start thinking, 'maybe I should give up! This is not worth it. I'll just go get a job." Well, hello, you have arrived at the valley of despair. On Monday, we had a small intimate workshop with a few early stage founders to talk about how to survive when you are in that valley of despair, without giving up on your venture. And because the people who were there said it was awesome (check the feedback below), we are doing it again next week on Wednesday. Only 15 people will be there, so save your spot here ASAP: https://lu.ma/9aqlil34 What advice do you have for a founder who feels like giving up?

As April wraps up, I've been thinking about its significance. Did you know that the name "April" originates from the Latin word "aperire," which means "to open"? 🌸🌿 This idea resonates deeply with me, reminding me that even as the month winds down, there are still abundant opportunities for growth and renewal. As both a CEO and Growth Strategist, I view April not just as a time of flourishing nature, but also as an invitation to uncover new paths to success. Each passing day reinforces the importance of seizing these moments, cultivating fresh ideas, and nurturing collaborations that propel my vision forward. With April's conclusion comes a sense of possibility, signaling the beginning of exciting new ventures. #AprilReflections #EmbraceOpportunity #CEOJourney #SpringOptimism

4moI'm thrilled to be part of this journey with you, Darren Hinde. The unknown can be daunting, but it's also where the magic happens. Just like Gandalf said to Frodo, "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." We've chosen to dedicate our time to solving these challenges, and I can't wait to see the positive impact our venture will bring. Exciting times ahead indeed!
