For the next session of "Are you B-School Ready?", Consulere IIM Sirmaur - the Consulting Club, conducted a Case Solving session with our Alumnus Mr. Shobhit Nagori. He explained how a case is a real-world business scenario and gave a few power notes on how to solve them effectively: 1. Identifying and understanding the critical information in the case. 2. Identifying the actual problem. He compared it with diseases and their symptoms and familiarized us with Issue trees. 3. Using the '5 Why' technique to find out the root cause. He explained how important it is to understand the particular industry and emphasized the significance of all the domains such as HR, Marketing, Finance, and Operations which would come in play while solving any case.
