🌊 Exciting Development at bp's Westlake Campus! 🌊 We're proud to share that Tom Knox, Eddy Luy, and Jordan LeRoux recently visited bp's Westlake Campus with our state-of-the-art eDNA sampler. During our visit, we conducted comprehensive training on the sampler and discussed various deployment options. eDNA samplers play a crucial role in helping petroleum companies like bp monitor environmental impact, comply with regulations, and enhance sustainability efforts. The Science Based Targets Network (SBTN) has released its updated 2024 technical guidance for setting corporate nature targets. 🌿 Anthesis played a key role as the lead facilitator, supporting the development of enhanced methodologies for land and freshwater targets. This collaboration resulted in improved technical guidance, aiding companies in estimating the impact of key commodities on nature. Highlights include new directions on addressing the traceability of high-impact commodities—a crucial step towards a nature-positive future. The Exxon Valdez was the worst oil spill in U.S. waters until the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010. The spill served as a wake-up call for the industry and society at large, prompting a reevaluation of the environmental and ethical implications of fossil fuel-related activities. The spill also brought attention to the concept of corporate social responsibility within the shipping industry. Companies began to recognize the importance of environmental stewardship and the need to operate in a socially responsible . Now with the supply chain disruptions and market correlations factors in reverse thus the sustainability efforts from nations accross the globe, it is the exact time to rise liability efforts in conducting the come back of a new Crystal and Tovalop base line to come up with a new Model . Did you know that there are still roughly 2,300 orphaned oil wells across the Osage Nation — a higher concentration per square mile than any state, including oil-rich Texas and Pennsylvania? This has terrible consequences for the land our people, economically and environmentally. What's the value of sovereignty over a poisoned land? The good news is that there are concrete steps being taken to systematically cap these wells and clean up the area around them. The Osage Mineral Council successfully plugged 88 orphaned wells, and we're looking to see how we can support the recycling or upcycling of this decommissioned material with an eye for transitioning to renewable energy alternatives.
